Excellent pen! Tried the tekchic which is close in cost and there is no comparison. TrueArt pros ... super easy to change the tips. No heat transfer to fingers which means you can hold the pen almost to the tip. LED number display of the current voltage makes it so easy and fast to adjust temps. Comes with a great case to hold everything. No cool down when changing temperature. Heats quickly and cools quickly when turned off. Cons... have to unplug machine to completely shut it down. No ball tip. (At least I can’t find one). Overall this machine not only does the job, but makes it easy and faster. It was worth every penny!!

I've had this burner for three years now and have recommended it at least a hundred times. It has tips for all needs from shading to lettering and one for extreme fine detail. I love that this burner holds its heat consistently, yet does not burn my fingers while holding for long periods of time. I'm a full time pyrography artist and there are days I burn for 10 hours + without issue. The tips are easily exchanged with the tools provided. It came with files, a very nice carrying case, and enough tips that even after 3 years, I still haven't needed to buy new. I love this burner! Great product!

I got a Walnut Hollow for xmas and have been playing since. I didn't like the heat up/cool down time, so went shopping for better. Saw this had good reviews and price was right. Also the case was a nice touch as well. Easy to setup and dial in. Comes with 20 nibs, but they are repeats of about 7 different types. A roller was not included, but available at their website. (currently out of stock). I've been doing a lot of practicing on gift tags, and that takes some detailing in a small space. This works nice for me.

this thing is really good. comes with all the gear you need to maintain your tips and even comes in a REALLY nice carrying case thats custom cut for all this stuff and holds it all perfectly. it even has a dragon logo on the front. the only two complaints i have is that when you crank the heat up past 80% it becomes almost impossible to hold it near the end of the grip because it gets so hot. you need gloves or something if your gonna use it at high heat, which is probably a good safety measure to begin with. the last complaint i have is that you can't affix basic exacto blades into it. they don't even make a blade attachment. sure they have plenty of other styles for cutting and shading and scaling and stippling and you name it, but you can do SO much with a blade, and id have to make on myself somehow because this is an AC unit that needs the double prong. so you can't just jam a blade on one side and have the connection work to heat it.

It is rare to be able to have a good customer service experience. This company is an exception. Their phone number is listed on their web site and guess what, THEY ANSWER IT! No menu, no beeps, no "choose this number", etc. The person who spoke with me was knowledgable and patient and answered all of my questions. She handled a minor customer service issue quickly, with ease and grace, and to my total satisfaction.As far as the wood burner goes, I am new to wood burning....but the wood burner heats and cools rapidly and the pen is comfortable in my hand. The pen doesn't make my hand hot (as a cheaper competitive product did). Many nibs are included and they are easy to switch out. Plenty of other stuff that comes with the unit. This seems to be a quality product .
