Recorded a potential thief on the first night!
We installed a wired Eufy doorbell and were so pleased that we ordered this camera system as well. On the first night we captured the video of a person trying to break into our car. What a surprise! We turned the video over to our police department and notified neighbors and security has been stepped up in our area.We have since ordered an add-on camera--we now have the video doorbell and 3 EufyCam 2 Pro cameras. Installation was easy and so far everything is working well. It takes a little tweaking to get the right locations and notifications but once it's set up it's done. We found that not using "activity zones" worked best for us and provided the best sensitivity. We gave the same notification sound to all cameras and the doorbell, so if they go off we recognize immediately that someone is around. We're tuned into that sound and we don't sleep through it if it's at night. All cameras and HomeBase were set up on my iPhone--I'm the main Admin. After everything was installed I went into settings for the Doorbell and the HomeBase and invited my husband to be another Admin. (In the app go to 3 bars on top left--Family and Guest. Hit + sign and invite a guest or admin.) My husband downloaded the app and he and I see the following in the app--Doorbell camera, Cam 1, Cam 2 and Cam 3. We both get notification and everything works the same for us.One thing that I like on both the doorbell and cameras is that when it records, it shows you a closeup of the thing that triggered the camera. Usually a closeup of the persons face, but sometimes a gust of wind will make the palm tree trigger it. The palm is then in the close-up so I know it was not a person. This doesn't happen often. The night vision is good with minimal outdoor light and several people have commented about the clarity of the picture. With outside lights on, the night vision is in color. If motion is detected, it starts recording on it's own and notifies you.We have a Comcast gateway router and a Euro WiFi Extender system. The Eufy Homebase is plugged into one of the Euro extenders which is located about 35 feet from the router. Outdoor cameras are approximately 35 feet from the Eufy Homebase and have 4 strength bars. Right now I have the Homebase connected via Ethernet cable to the Euro extender but may switch this to WiFi if we decide to add more cameras. It is my understanding that you can add up to 16 cameras to one Homebase. Don't think we'll need that many. Our reasons for purchasing this system over others were: 2k camera--very clear. No monthly fees--we monitor it ourselves. No wiring needed. Human detection captures people not pets. Can speak through the camera to the person outside. IP67 Weatherproof is the best you can get--we get LOTs of rain and wind in South Florida. 365 days battery life. We've had the cameras up for one week and are very happy with this 5 Star purchase.

Exceeds my expectations
These are a great product and has clear images. The battery charge lasts longer than a year before requiring recharging. My recent home purchase had a different brand and I replaced that system with my "eufy" system from my previous house. The biggest plus is you are not required to pay for a monitoring account!!! Everyone else charges a regular monthly or yearly fee for storage. I have never run out of storage.I highly recommend "eufy"!!!

The Very Best Home Security Camera System
I bought this for the SECOND time ( sold previous house and left system for new homeowner). So easy to install, even for this older gal, and NO MONTHLY CLOUD fee. Super clear pictures. Great app that makes viewing alerted videos or just “ checking” your property very easy . Good filters to include people, not dogs or other critters, for alerts. Microphone allows talking with app very convenient . I can attest that the battery dies last a year on single charge. Taking cameras down to recharge is simple and without need for tools. Have recommended to my friends and family. 5 stars!!!

got what I paid for. bought on 2021 prime day with $200 off for 4 cams (3 of cam 2 pro and 1 of cam 2 reg). review below is for cam 2 proPROS:price (*on sale)long-lasting battery (*adv as 1 charge per yr so let's see on that but I don't feel like it will last that much. maybe if you don't often check on the phone. I will update)ez to setup and install for anyonesensor is just okez to use app featuresCONS:resolution is not as good as expected. feel like it is not 2k (ill check video quality as save on pc to know is it true 2K)range signal is not good for a big house (don't see they have a range repeater)might have to restart home base every couple monthsgoogle assistance and alexa is just ok. slow loading. connection drop for 1s or 2s and back on or sometimes not loading. I'm not sure is that because of my network. (don't use apple home kit so not sure about that but might have same problem. not a big problem just not as smooth as expected)to me on sale price is a good right price for those cameras as resolution and functions quality is a bit higher than an OK compare to other wireless cams (like arlo is too expensive). depend on the user's point of view (quality or money) is very important. MAYBE I expected too high on this. THIS IS AFFORDABLE BUT STILL PRETTY GOOD QUALITY. I feel there might be more problems and troubleshooting show up later on.I will update on video quality, motion sensor, night vision

Love My Eufy
My Eufy pro cam arrived 2 days ago. I gave each camera their initial charge before installing them. This took about 6 hours each. I bought the cameras with 365 day charge. I downloaded the app and began the installation the following day. Very simple and intuitive. One very helpful feature in the app is the signal meter that indicates the strength of your wifi signal at the location where you intend to install the camera. However, when I attempted to move the base from a CatV connection to a wifi connect, I ran into a glitch. There is nothing in the instruction booklet that mentions wifi connection. After clunking around a bit I checked in settings for the base and found the wifi setup in there. Simple from there just like any other device. The cameras are high quality and the picture is superb. I love this kit. Soooo much better than my Nest setup that I have in my summer house. I have 2 cousins who have the same system and they also love theirs. I highly recommend this product.
