Black Workbench

The instructions were not clear when constructing the drawer, after alot of thinking we sussed it out, the problem was with the sliders?. The answer is to open the sliders fully and inside there is a plastic black stopper as such!?&. This has to be pushed up using a small screwdriver so the arm sliders can come apart and fixed to the bench, when both sides have been done the drawer slides in and then locked in place by the black plastic locking straps. It been a while since working it out, but it's the only way that we found that worked. I hope this helps because we found the instructions very inadequate.

I needed to replace my clapped out workbench in my office, used mostly for electronic repairs. This one caught my eye and for the price I thought that I would take a punt. After ordering, I was notified that delivery would be in a months time... never a great start but I was in no rush and so went with it. The tracking info was good and seemed to update on an almost hourly basis and the desk was delivered within 5 days, no mean feat for a 26kg parcel to the West coast of Ireland! On opening the box, first impressions were not great. The MDF panels and shelf were heavily marked, fortunately all on only one side so not visible in the final build. All the steelwork was packed loosely and had picked up some scratches and dings... again fortuitously these all seem to be out of sight once finished. One or two items had gotten bent out of shape but a big hammer sorted that out! Talking of hammers, inside the box was supplied the nicest little rubber mallet for fixing the legs together, however no screwdriver or spanners. Most worrying was the fact that the screw bag had burst, and right next to a gaping tear in the box. Thankfully none of the fixings had escaped and everything was present and correct. Okay, the elephant in the room... the instructions are dire, not showing orientations, no close ups and only about 50% of the steelwork had identifying stickers attached. Treat the instructions as a guideline, apply liberal common sense and it isn't quite as tricky as some reviews make it out to be. Hints. Take your time to figure out which holes you need to use on the drawer runners. Some reviews say you need to take the runner apart - you don't. The supporting struts under the worktop are supposed to be at a wonky angle... don't worry, they can't be seen in the finished build. The struts that hold the drawer runners face inwards, this is counter intuitive as every other strut faces out. The MDF is not waterproof... get yourself a decent mat to go on top or, if you like, give it a coat of varnish. This might not bother you in a garage but my bench sits in the corner of an office. The bench is made from steel, if you are thinking of using it for electronics an earth connection may be a good idea. The finished bench is sturdier than expected, well up for the duties I have planned for it. The MDF worktop is around 1/2" thick, the other shelves are around a 1/4". The rear pegboard is handy enough and hooks are supplied, although only hooks so you may want to pick up a set of peg board attachments. A little judicious bending was needed to get third party clips to fit the pitch of the pegboard but it's perfectly useable. The drawer is perfectly functional and is handy for storing tools that refuse to play nicely with the pegboard! It feels a little flimsy at first but it is sturdy enough. So, to sum up. this is a sturdy little workbench, ideal for light and medium duty work. The build is a pain but the design is actually pretty strong. The top shelf is handy and I will eventually fit a batten light underneath it. After the initial disappointment when I opened the box, I am suitably impressed with the bench and would definitely recommend it.

Very awkward to assemble. Fittings needed bending and modifying. And I am the sort of person who enjoys putting together flat-pack furniture. Bench has been falling apart since I bought it. The draw cannot hold any weight and collapsed with a few lightweight tools in it. (Not used for heavy tools - these are in a separate toolbox.) Hanging pins supplied with the unit fall out when brushed against. This is a primo example of buy cheap, buy twice. Save your money and buy or make your own.

This item is fine for the cost but i had a few issues: 1. the drawer does not open very far and doesn't line up well with the front 2. The peg board does not fit into the back very well so there is some buckling 3. instructions are a nightmare It will serve its purpose and is fine for the price but these few pits hold it back a bit

I was expecting this table to be wobbly, easily bent but it’s actually quite sturdy. I find the wood is too cheap, but got some nice thicker plywood and now it’s perfect.

Unit was not built to high quality, drawers jam and cannot take basic tool kit loading in drawer. Not value for money. Unit should be more robustly built

Fairly simple to put together, much sturdier than I thought. Doesn't really wobble. Would be 5 stars if the parts lined up straight, also had to cut the back board down and move its fixing holes to secure it. Yet to test the weight limit, but realistically, won't support as much as I think it will. Ultimately, great bench for the DIYer with enough common sense to read instruction booklet with a pinch of salt.

Il prodotto è difficile da montare perchè le istruzioni non sono molto chiare, il cartone pressato utilizzato per i ripiani ha un odore davvero sgradevole che non va via in nessun modo, tanto che ho dovuto rivestirlo con un altro materiale per contenerlo. I ganci non reggono granchè. lo tengo solo perchè smontarlo per fare il reso mi costerebbe una fatica enorme.

Helt ok till det priset och till vardagsbruk men instruktionerna för montering var lite svåra att tyda. Jag köpte två bänkar och bänk nummer Nyvång gick lätt att sätta ihop.

Les pièces sont mal calées dans le carton. Elles sont arrivées en vrac dans celui-ci. Montage moyennement facile. Demande beaucoup d'attention pour comprendre la notice de pas toujours très claire, surtout au niveau des glissières tiroir. L'ensemble est très léger mais correspond à ma recherche et au prix. Le fixer au sol ou au mur car pas très stable

Non mi aspettavo un oggetto professionale, ma nemmeno un giochetto per bambini. 1) Mancava il ripiano del cassetto 2) Il fondo del cassetto aveva dimensioni e forature completamente sballate 3) Il piano superiore, a causa della sua debolezza, non si presta al montaggio di morse da banco 4) L'intera struttura è debole ed instabile, a causa dei materiali di cui è composta 5) Le istruzioni di montaggio non sono corrette. Consiglio di montare le guide del cassetto ai profili laterali, e terminare il montaggio del cassetto in opera, assemblando le lamiere frontale e posteriore per ultime.
