Beautiful. Changes colors consistently. Went to a party that lasted from 7pm to 3am and the batteries lasted the entire night. Did not have to turn on and off. If it times out, just give it a gentle tap on the ground and the lights go back on. I received almost more compliments on this than the actual costume itself. Since it comes in two pieces, it may buckle at the connection if an adult rests all his/her weight on it. It is not for leaning on and supporting your weight. Otherwise, great addition to costume. I highly recommend it.

I think this staff is AMAZING! True it is a flimsy plastic but it IS NOT made for you to use as a walking stick!!! It's a costume prop!!! Mine worked right out of the box. I like that you can turn it off and on with the switch but also press the button for it just to glow for a few seconds. It comes in two pieces and all you have to do is screw the two pieces together. I would recommend this product but not for those of you wishing to put weight on it and use it as a walking stick.

I bought this for my 5 year old daughter for her Maleficent costume. It was a perfect addition! Its plastic and a little flimsy. If kids are rough with it I could see it breaking. The accent light was awesome and was too cool on Halloween night when we went trick or treating. However, the light only lasted on Halloweeen night. The battery died before we were even done collecting candy. My daughter had turned it on once or twice to see the light work when we first got this then we made a point to put it away until halloween to ensure that the light would work on Halloween. We were disappointed that it didn't make it through Halloween night. We are hoping we can find a replacement battery somewhere as it is not a standard AA or AAA. Overall, it will make a fun prop for playing dress up.

I love this. The hight was perfect, I expected it to be a bit on the small side because I am taller. The lights look and work great, I love the color change. Although it took me a while to figure out that when you flick the switch for the light to stay on you have to move the staff for the light to actually come on. It looks amazing, and although it is plastic it’s a good quality plastic not some cheap flimsy stuff. The quality is what I expected for $21. It’s perfect for anyone who loves the movie, loves this iconic Disney villain, or simply wants a staff of power of their very own. 10/10 would recommend.

I purchased this staff to go with my Maleficent Halloween costume. Pros: The staff is a good height, it’s lightweight and the light-up feature is cool. Cons: It is flimsy, and even worse when you put it together. It comes in 2 hollow plastic pieces that screw together. Easy enough to assemble. As soon as you move the staff, whether just carrying it or placing it on the floor, it wobbles. The whole staff shakes - like a shake-weight - with any movement. The whole idea of the staff is that it serves dual purpose, a walking stick & magic wielding device. I’m not saying it should hold your entire weight but this couldn’t even support the weight of a Chihuahua. It’s like a chintzy prize you would win at a traveling carnival. Definitely not worth the $40 i paid for it. Extremely disappointed.

Overall great product. I have read people commenting that this staff is too flimsy... it is a prop people.. and less than $30 that lights up. So anyone who reads the info should seriously lower their expectations and make adjustments or changes to it to make it sturdier. I read all the complaints and still I decided to order so that I could mess around with it. I fiber fixed it, added a layer of light weight clay, painted it and sealed it. All in all I probably spent between $40-$45.... love the final product and sooooo worth it. My witch costume will rock with this and since I have no electrical engineering skills, this war the best solution to have a cool, sturdy "light-up" staff.

This may be the flimsiest staff prop I've ever heard. Rivaled only by Walmart brand devil forks for little kids. When screwed together properly the "wood gnarls" don't line up. The screws and bolts holding it together are painfully obvious. The "design" on the orb is a cheap shrink wrap job. The wrap has very obvious serration (like the kind on the plastic around large energy drink cans). I plan on taking it apart and removing it and seeing about making it look a little less like I bought it from the dollar store. Oh. And it wobbles like a semi-soft marital aid. So much for striking dramatic poses, and casting "spells" on my friends.

I liked that the product looked the part and it glowed beautifully. Unfortunately it is quite flimsy. The bottom piece is thin, hollow and is bendy. The screw that holds the two pieces together is created within the same mould and not a strong joiner. The top piece is sturdier. In all, it's a product that is easily broken and not ideal as a toy for children.

Habe mir den Stab als Ergänzung zu meinem Maleficent Kostüm gekauft. Der Stab passt einem Erwachsenen (ich bin 1,68m) genau perfekt. Er wird in zwei Teile geliefert und man muss ihn zusammenschrauben. Er ist aus einfachstem Plastik, aber ich habe auch für diesen Preis keine bessere Qualität erwartet. Mit einem Schalter dem man umlegen muss fängt die "magische Kugel" an in verschiedenen Farben zu leuchten. Alles in allem also ein super schönes Zepter! Habe extra einen Expressversand für 20,00 € gewählt, da war der Stab in 5 Tagen da.

This is a good replica of the prop in the recent Disney Maleficent live action film with Angelina Jolie. My 8 year old daughter loves wielding it as do most of her friends. The light up functions are great. One one as long as you want and the second triggered by a press of a discrete button to circle through a few different colours. Very effective. Be aware though its just largely moulded plastic so if they think they can lean on it with their full weight then it will bend. One of her friends has nearly snapped it with enthusiastic leaning. I've managed to repair it as best I can but best warn the owner to treat it with care - its not made out of wood. The size is just right it would be perfect for me to use. I must admit I am tempted...

I just got this today and I'm so happy that I have it for Halloween. I put the two pieces together and I love that it is a bit taller than me. I love the switch which is the same color as the stick and looks great when you turn it on and see the different colors, can't wait to show my granddaughter. It's perfect!!
