America: A Concise History, Volume 1

Bought this for an online US History I course. The book came in perfect condition, as described and it's getting me through this course little by little. For anyone reading this--I don't recommend taking history courses online if you can help it. History is basically all stories, and it sucks to not have anyone there to actually do the storytelling. The textbook is cool, but it would be so much more interesting to be able to have an actual discussion about what I'm reading. This review is for the book, though, and that itself was exactly what I intended to order--thanks.

The book worked for what I needed but the state it came in wasn’t that good. When I received it, it was water damaged and had small remnants of food between some of the pages. But besides that, it got the job done.

The book is fine, it’s a rental and will serve it’s purpose. The cover is extremely damaged, so this isn’t so much of a review as a document that it came damaged and that I do not expect to be charged upon return of the rental.

I rented the kindle version for my class as I was in a hurry and didn't want to spend $55 on a paper copy. The kindle version is easy to read, but in multiple chapters there are several pages that are COMPLETELY BLANK. As in, nothing on any of the pages, which causes massive amounts of information to be lost. I would not recommend getting the kindle version to anyone as it was a waste of time and money. Just buy the paper copy.
