Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit Cotton-Cream-6-9months

We have been using this suit for almost 2 months and we love it! My baby never liked using a swaddle, but his startle reflex is still very strong! We started using the sleep suit when he was 4 months old to get him used to taking naps in his crib. At night he sleeps in the rock n play, because his startle reflex wakes him up. The first time I put my baby in this suit, you could tell it instantly relaxed him. For the first month it really helped him get used to the crib and fall back asleep quickly when he woke up. Now, when he wakes, he has started to teach himself to self soothe! Little by little I plan on transitioning him to a sleep sack by the time he is 7 months old (currently he is 5 months). I really wish I had purchased this suit sooner than I did. If you have a baby that does not like to be swaddled, get this suit! Also, I know that there are many people that are concerned about baby's temperature. I have found that if I put him in this with just a onesie, or on hot days with no onesie and have a fan going in the room, his temperature is fine!

Wow, wow, wow! Our 4 month old rolled over and we had to end swaddling. We could only hold her for naps (even swaddled sometimes) and it took both of us holding her arms and legs down to get her in her crib at night due to the Moro startle reflex.After 3 days/nights trying out the Merlin suit, Anna is taking all of her naps in her crib! No struggle, it's like she's saying thank you for this cozy environment I'll go to sleep now.It used to take my 2+ hours to get Anna to sleep at night. Now, she goes right to sleep and slept 7.5 hours !!!!! A gift!She wears a short sleeve onsie underneath her cotton sleep suit and doesn't get hot. My hero. My little bundle gave up on swaddling pretty early, but woke himself (and mama) up every hour (or less) all night long. Introduce this magical, wonderful sleepsuit and boom! Baby starts sleeping for a few hours at a time consistently. After 2.5 months (plus about 6 months of my pregnancy) of no more than 2 hours of sleep at a time, my first night with a 4-hour stretch of sleep uninterrupted made me want to high five a million angels.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. I bought the small in cream a 4 months ago, and then a large in blue two months ago and loved both of them. I recently bought another large in cream so I could send one to daycare with my lo. The latest purchase doesn't have the safety covers over the zipper to prevent poking of baby when fully zipped. Well, my lo's neck is all scratched now. Is it possible to exchange it for an old version?

I wanted this to be magic so badly. While it helped a very fussy baby get *some* sleep, it certainly wasn't what I had hoped for. It did immobilize her once she had decided to break out of the swaddle, but there were still quite a few wake-ups. If you are at your wits end - like we were - obviously give this a shot. It is a nice product. Maybe it's what your baby is looking for?

The 1st night we used this was the 1st time my son slept for 10 hrs straight and 1st night in his crib at 5 months old! He had been sleeping for 4-5 hrs straight, but had started moving around in his sleep a lot and waking himself up almost every hour. The Sleepsuit doesn't feel weighted, but does restrict his movements and keeps him warm, but not too warm. He wears a short-sleeved onesie and socks underneath. He's now 7 months old and I'm still liking it. It is well worth the price.

This helped for transitioning my son out of swaddle. It didn't stop him from waking from his startle reflex but it made it just a little more comfy for him. Once he learned to roll both ways we were finally able to let him sleep free. No miracle but helpful.

I couldn't live without this. Highly recommend it for winter climates and Babies that need to feel like they are being cuddled. My daughter slept through the night the first time we put her in it. Don't hesitate, buy it!
