PMT Medical s769D Digital Medical Grade Heating pad -Neck & Shoulder Pad

I've been looking for a way to easily provide heat to my neck and shoulders for quite a while. The weight of the microwavable wraps increase my pain, so they weren't an option - plus, they just don't stay hot long enough. I tried Dr. Bob's neck wrap (http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Bobs-Heating-Settings-Moist/dp/B000VGFUEE/ref=pd_sim_hpc_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=1BEH8GEH3VE58VREWSV5), but it was a complete waste of money: didn't heat up much at all, and it was so lightweight that it didn't keep contact with my shoulders.This heating pad is of a good heft without being heavy - the pad feels similar in weight/quality to the rectangular BodyMed heating pad that I use for my back. It sits easily on the shoulders, and the velcro fasteners work well to secure it. It gets very hot, which is a plus as far as I'm concerned, but the highest settings may be too high for some people. Just be sure to start with the lowest setting and work your way up as needed.The one note of caution I'd give is that people who really want to target the neck/cervical spine may be disappointed: this has great coverage for the shoulders and the base of the neck, but it doesn't have any sort of collar that extends upwards.and I'm not sure how well it would work to try to angle it up. But if you're looking for a heating pad to cover your shoulders and the area around your collarbone, this is fantastic.

This is the best heating pad I have ever purchased. It's shape allows for use anywhere on the body and best of all, it has four temperatures and four timers from 15 minuets to 60 which is wonderful when you want to go to sleep and not worry about turning the element off. This is the second pad I purchased as my friend loved the first one I bought and I gave it to her. Since then, my daughter has started using it on occasion and I can see where this is leading so I will most likely be buying a third. You can't go wrong with this item; if you ache anywhere, it's a purchase you want to make.

It's well made and generates a lot of heat. The main reason I gave it a lower rating is that it doesn't really work for my neck. The design forces it to lie on your back and across the lower part of the shoulders but it doesn't wrap around the upper part or the neck, which is where I really need the heat. It looks like it would contour around you but doesn't in the way that I'd envisioned. It is a quality product, just doesn't work as well for me as I'd hoped.

With stenosis in my neck I often need a heating pad. I saw one like this in a skymiles catalog for twice the price. This on is in terms of its heat functions. There is a problem with the velcro fastener. Its position on the pad doesn't allow for much leeway in how the pad fits around your shoulders and neck. This is a drawback on such a pricey pad.

The best heating pad I have ever used. I just wish it came with strips to cover exposed velcro as it has snagged and ruined several satin pillowcases and any clothes it can ruin. That is partially my fault as I use it not only on my neck but on my abdomen, hip and lower back.

My heating pad got so hot that it burnt a hole through the liner. I used it on the correct side as the directions required but it didn't make any difference. I wish this didn't happen because I like otherwise.

I still like the product tho it is a bit small yo connect the way it is supposed to. This would be wonderful it the pad came in a larger size. As it is, it fits perfectly on my wife's shoulders and connects as it is designed to do. So, it is ideal for medium frame bodies, as for large and extra large just get the normal pad or you will be coming short to getting your neck fully covered.

I would like to rave about this product but I've only had it for a little over a month and it has quit working. I use it everyday because I am healing from a staph infection in my spine and it really helps, but it was only available for return within 30 days. Ugh! With the high price I would've hoped for some sort of warranty. But I've been told there isn't anything they can do, so if you do order this heating pad, which I highly recommend, don't order it from Achilles.
