Works great and has excellent suction. However, the hose does not seem to be of the same construction quality of the past Nutone sets (doesn't feel as heavy duty), but it works wonderfully, and we'll see how it holds up over time. But, on the other hand it's MUCH easier to pull around and the suction is incredible. The swivel floor brush is the best floor brush I have every owned....Not only is it large in size and covers lots of area, but swivels into corners and around things very well Works much better than the previous floor brush that had a wheel on each side.. Power head works great and easy to use. Nutone could enable the power head to snap / click on to the wand a bit better....Have to push at just the right angle to make sure it doesn't pop out. Not a huge deal, but why I'm not giving it 5 stars. For something this expensive, it should click and lock easily. My very first Nutone set was flawless in that regard.

Moved into our house over 10 years ago, and it had a central vac system already installed, but the hose, etc. had small holes in it so it wouldn't work due to lack of suction. I wish I would have purchased this years ago!!! Our central vac system is amazing and more sturdy that any of the nice, higher-quality vacuums I had purchased. This fits into our existing unit perfectly and we didn't have to do any modifications. We have a black lab and 3 younger kids (and one adult kid if you include my husband!) so vacuuming is a frequent household chore. It's not that bad having to get the hose and attachments out... I thought I wouldn't like that but it's okay! Highly recommend this set. :-)

We had bought a complete central vacuum system 4 years ago. I have had nothing but problems and the hose connections and power head have been repaired 4 times.I told my husband this is rediculous and we are getting new accessories.So we ordered this kit.Very easy to put together and it works effortlessly.The other one was hard to push on the low carpet. This one glides.It feels like it is a higher quality made product.I'll let you know if it needs repair, but I really think with the way it feels to operate that isn't going to be an issue.I highly recommend this.

I finally replaced my aging original Nutone components. My old hose had finally leaked more than duct tape would fix! This set is SO much better-makes me wonder why I didn't replace the 30 year old stuff before. The hose is lightweight and much more convenient to use. The power head is amazing-SO quiet, and the LED lights are such an improvement. I also love the ability to adjust the length of the wands.

I used this Vacuum about 60 times and the hose to wand / power connector kept disconcerting and got worse and worse. The wands connector is plastic resin and can not securely hold the weight of the power head and wand while vacuuming. This faulty design also made loose electrical connections in the hose and now the power head is completely intermittent. This is also a safety issue. Nutone Broan is not interested in helping. I am in the repair and service business for 40 years. Ok now to buy this product. Finally was sent a new hose and wand it works fine. There was a design change in the hose and the wand was the old style. An isolated incident. All the new stock will be fine. Changed to 4 stars.

Bought to upgrade NuTone system from 1976; vacuum still works great but the accessories were getting old. Good quality! Extending wands are great! Hose fitting is snug in the original socket (takes a little twisting), but it does fit & works perfect. I read some reviews on here previous to ordering this; some had issues with the power head & electrical connections failing - which anything will fail if you abuse it. ALL fittings & connections are super tight, so you cannot jam or slam them together; take your time & do it right.

OK, I wish the description really explained what you get because I was very close to buying the knockoff Chinese brand to save $100, so glad I didn't.The quality of everything is impressive. I own a dyson and this beats it in most areas or at least is on par. The metal tubes have easy buttons for adjusting height, are thick and solid, yet super light. The hose comes with a mesh type grey wrap that makes it look high end (not necessary, but still nice). Tons of attachments and a metal tube that doesn't have power in it (ie for vacuuming stairs, car, etc.).The vacuum head is great, foot button to adjust the height up to 4x with an LED light to let you know which height setting you're on (that's nice). Bright LED lights as well that project forward to light up the floor in front. The brush in the head spins super strong, picks up very well.I couldn't be more impressed with it, it's worth the $400.

The hose cover comes separate from the hose, and it is a MAJOR chore to get it over the hose, even when diligently following the included instructions. I do like the hose and the power head, and the various extension tubes. I do not like the non-power heads, which have bristles which are very coarse compared to the previous units I have. And I don't see much use for the carrying case, nor the flimsy wire bale intended to hang the hose up on the wall.
