The Arabian Horse Paperback – April 11, 2012

Once again the author has continued to surprise and amaze all with her style of equine art! This new book picks up and continues to display the Arabian horse with all its simplicity and elegance. Many people will change their minds about the beauty and diversity of the Arabian horse. The quality of the photographs and the hours of work spent creating these treasure books will live on through history. Capturing the true spirit of a horse is difficult but this author has gone beyond the physical and tells a story with each photograph. Treat yourself to a new experience and enjoy the hours of diligent work compiled in this book for our pleasure to experience the versatile Arabian breed!

The book has good graphic quality, however, I was a little frustrated with your text.The first aspect is it organization. The text doesn't follow a logical flow, there is not even an introduction. There is an alleatory set of information about some horses. Also there is not a clear criteria of horses/farms choice.The second point that will frustrate who appreciate Arabian horses is that the main reference sires have been completely ignored. It is impossible to talk about Arabian horses and don't include horses like Padron, Magnum Psyche, Ali Jamal, Marwan Al Shaqab, etc. as well as leaving out important farms such as Al Shaqab, Giacomo Capacci, Ariela Arabians, Haras de Cardena, Arabians Ltd, etc.The third frustrating point in the book is that the vast majority of the horses featured in the book are very far from the Arabian type expected.Sorry, but my impression is that the author is an excellent photographer, however, does not understand of Arabian horses.

Not what I thought it was going to be.

Second in Ms. Haggard's Arabian Horse series, this volume is much improved with better quality of photos and text. Web addresses are included so the reader can find more information on particular farms or horses. In this volume you will find information on South African Arabian horse breeders, as well as some American greats such as the Jack Tone Ranch where the Fabulous Fadjur made his home. Breeders from the world over, are included as well. Good job in showing the versatility of the Arabian horse!!

This book is of high quality and exhibits the many different facets of the Arabian horse. This books SHOWS you through the many photos included what this breed is about and capable of! If a picture is worth a 1000 words this book is worth many more. I LOVE this book!! Awesome read and awesome photos!

What a wonderful Book. So much information for the Arabian Horse. Such Wonderful Photos - Outstanding even. I am sure The Breeders of this magnificent Horse would be very pleased with this edition. I must admit that I agree with some of the other ratings. This is a even more thorough journey trough the world of Arabian horses than the fist book. Many interesting and modern studs from all over the world are introduced and illustrated with beautiful pictures.

Doreen's collective information and photographs display not only the beauty of the Arabian horse, but the great owners, breeders and even an artist connected with such a fine animal. I highly reccomend this book for Arabian lovers of all sorts!Gayle TaylorGypsy's Art Studio[...]
