Much softer than sharp metal corners when applied directly to the forehead.
Don't laugh. I use them on the corners of a free floating range hood. It's on an island and I always bump my forehead into the hood when leaning over stove... I got these to mount up on the sharp corners.... I used them right away as I bumped my head into it right after installing it.
