Great for boat fiberglass repairs
I used this product to repair screws that broke out of the gel coat on my boat. The smell is really strong when you use it, but you saved so much money when you do it yourself and you know it’s done right. It has many different things for many different pairs so it’s very functional and a great value for the money repair very durable as of now. I was a little bit worried of the epoxy dripping out, but it did not. You can make the epoxy pretty thick too when you add fumed silica. It was been a very strong repair that keeps my doors shut so water doesn’t get in!

Really good product that fixes the problem of small hole repair
This kit is complete and easy to use with the premeasured packs. The online instructions are really good for problem areas not listed in the kit. The instructions for mixing and adding filler make sense and everything needed to do the job is included. After curing, the epoxy is as stable as stated in the instruction. Some of the terms used are a little different then I'm used to but reading everything over helps. The volume per package seems really to small at first, but helps with waist. The cost seems a little high but so far I think it's worth the cost to do a great job.

Great kit, but a LOT more glass than I needed
This fiberglass kit was very complete, and came with easily understood instructions. It also worked great, and fixed the hole in my Sunfish. Only reason I rate it 4 instead of 5 stars is that it had way more stuff than I needed. I only needed a 4 by 6 inch patch.

Great way to fill holes
I used this kit to fill holes in a fiberglass boat from a wakeboard tower, worked pretty well, I reinforced the underside with marine plywood and fiberglass, which worked but at first I mixed the epoxy without filler and it was too thin. You need to thicken it as the kit describes, the pre measured packets are nice, all the accessories are good. The instructions are a bit long, at first I really skipped over the part about how to thicken the material. Once I found it I was off and running, I didn’t have the problem anymore of the thin epoxy running down the hole. I left the epoxy below the gel coat line to be able to go back and fill in with gel coat. The area I am filling is at an angle so the epoxy found it’s own level and isn’t sitting flush to the bottom of the gel coat. Shouldn’t be an issue but the gel coat will be thicker in one spot. Once cured it seems very strong. It bonded well. I suggest taping around the area with packing tape, it gets messy when you aren’t experienced with this stuff.

Perfect for Amateurs
I got a free canoe that had fallen from a ceiling storage rack. It had major cracks and a couple small holes but no rot. I had no idea how to fix this. but came across this product which was cheap. I am overwhelmed with how amazingly stong the canoe is now. The filler was so good to work with that I started laminating the entire boat with it to fill small cracks and scratches and plan on giving it a new paint job. I am completely sold on this product and plan on fixing my Sunfish sailboat next! This West System kit package is brilliant because it allows amateurs like me to try it at an inexpensive price while making it foolproof. I'm now comfortable trying more complicated projects.

Great For Small Repairs on RVs
Someone decided to shoot the side of my RV with a 9mm. Left a nice little hole in the outside skin. This kit worked great to fill in the hole. You do have to do a couple rounds of this though and becareful when grinding it down to paint. I primed only and you really have to look hard to see where the hole was now. No leaking to date and its been two years.

Great Handy Packs for Small Repairs
I like to use this glue for woodworking repairs like fixing kitchen cabinet doors that are cracked or filling stripped screw holes . Nice to have a handy size for those small repairs and not have to mess with the pump mixing system. The packets are handy for your "on the go " tool box to do small repairs that require epoxy. Had too many of the "injector" type of epoxy mixing systems loose a cap and leak all over the place till I switched to the packets. A bit pricy, but when it saves you a trip back to a job it is well worth it. I learned about West System working on wooden boats and have found it to be a superior product for gluing . West System had plenty of product learning material printed twenty years ago and I imagine that is available online today.

Works great!
This was my first time doing fiberglass repair. I used this to rebuild worn-down areas on my boat's keel and repair the transom. Application was really easy, and the keel looks great! However, on the transom repair, I thought I could work the fiberglass into uneven areas. That didn't work out too well, and I should have built up those low spots to be even with the rest. That was the result of my inexperience, and not the product's fault. Just mentioning it so that other newbies can learn from my error.
