The MP-38/40 SMG black leather sling fit my Legends model perfectly. It is a Kar98k shoulder sling without the additional leather strap for the longer rifle; this was the common practice in WWII. Like to know who made these and when as no marks are evident. The black on black of the MP is perfect and the company is very prompt, arriving in about 4 days from order. The MP-40 khaki canvas case from them is also great and I used a brown MP-40 sling for the case handle. The khaki heavy-duty canvas case with leather pocket tabs and reinforcements is excellent! It came pronto as have other items from this dealer. The initial fit is tight as it is new heavy canvas and will need to have the SMG and magazines left in place to stretch. It slides in and out nicely but does still catch internally just at the magazine well. The D-rings are very solid and the need for a sling is clear. The MP-40 brown leather sling from this dealer is perfect when fitted. The lower three pockets fit the 52-round mag nicely but the upper two seem a bit too short for an easy closure. Above this is a square pocket for additional ammo or whatever. Internally there is a long compartment for ammo or additional barrels, etc. The case seems designed for mounting on the side of a driver’s seat or on a motorcycle troop; both common in WWII. the case seems likely manufactured for a European SMG other than an actual MP-40. It is a good purchase for the Legends MP-40 but still needs the additional carry strap.

I love the details, the buckle material, leather strap texture, and smell gives a sense of authenticity. However, just one annoyance (although just a manufacturing residue) is the pin like protrusion (see image) on the rivet which is dangerous if not removed.

Just as described looks great

It isn't vintage, but it smells like it is! Oh my! It took well over a week until it stopped stinking. I made the mistake of letting it sit in a closet for a day, and after removing it, the smell lingered for half a week. I then placed it in the garage until the odor dissipated. On the plus side, it fits perfectly, but is very stiff leather. It is shipped from India so don't expect to send it back if the smell is too strong. I searched on the internet to find a video showing how to properly install the sling. It now looks authentic with no odor!

A very good replica. Put it on a GSG MP 40P. No stock on those. The sling provides tension around my neck for a steadier two-handed shoot.
