CuisinoxStainless Steel Canning Funnel, 5.5" Wide

This is a great little funnel for *regular sized* Ball jars here in the USA. I know it's advertised as a 'wide mouth', but don't assume that translates into Ball wide-mouth size. It doesn't.A little bit of information that is not currently included in the description: 1) The item is made of 18/10 Stainless steel, 2) it's made in China, 3) the handle is spot-welded to the body. I believe someone else pointed this out on a similar funnel and called it "rust", but it's not - it's just a slight dimple with maybe a *hint* of heat discoloration from a high amperage spot welder. No biggie.If you automatically stamp something as junk because it was made in China, this funnel is not for you.Here's my opinion:1) it's sturdy2) it's made of quality stainless steel3) it feels like it *should* last a lifetime4) it fits perfectly into a regular mouth jar and does not need to be held in place - it rests securely on the rim with no rocking.I can't speak for how it would work in a Ball wide mouth jar, but if I ever use it for that I'll come back and update this review. I'm guessing it would work just fine.

After years of spilling/dripping liquids on my counters when transferring things into my Mason jars, never knowing that canning funnels even existed, I came across this by accident while looking for something else entirely. Oh, happy accident! This funnel works for both regular and wide mouth Mason jars. Now I can ladle hot soup into jars (I freeze homemade soup in Mason jars for lunches) or pour sugar from the bag into a jar (I use Mason jars for a lot of dry goods, too) without spilling anything anymore. And it's heavy enough to stay put and not wobble or topple over, which is certainly a plus when you're handling very hot soup. Wonderful!The one thing is, the funnel is much more mirror-finish in person. The photo here looks a little more like a brushed finish. If you like the brushed look, this isn't it. But I like the mirror look.

This funnel works as expected with Ball regular mouth canning jars. Center hole could be a little larger and still fit into the regular mouth jars. Wanted to replace an old canning funnel made with aluminum because I don't like food coming in contact with aluminum metal. I also prefer stainless steel or glass materials over plastic (where practical). Could not find any stainless steel canning funnels sold in local stores. I place this S.S. funnel in my dishwasher when sanitizing canning jars using the dishwasher's 'sanitize' cycle - not sure I would want do the same with plastic items.

I bought this funnel with a few other canning supplies after canning about 30 jars of tomatoes. Now I can't imagine canning without it. It made it so much easier to keep the rim clean, I didn't have to go back and wipe off everything before putting the lids on. This was a big time saver in the canning process for me, I definitely recommend it if you're an avid canner.

very well made. I have canned over 100 jars with this so far this year and not a scratch on it. It fits regular mouth jars and works for wide mouth as well. The metal is very heavy duty abd cleans easily. Would highly recommend to my canning friends.

I work at a catering hall and I purchased theses funnels so when we pour the hot soup it doesn't make a mess on the outside of the cup. This funnel works perfectly and it is surprisingly firm.. I'd recommend this funnel to anyone

This turns out to be much more useful around the kitchen than I imagined. I would like to see this model have a removable strainer.

For the price I was expecting a much more substantial product. It is very thin and I’m not sure why it costs this much. It does sit nicely on full size mason jars. I found similar for much less. My only gripe was the price point for the quality.

Pictures show more expensive stainless steel. Shipped cheap shiny four dollar value unit (Ebay). No SS grade marks, cheap knock off. Could work well, but overpriced. False advertising. Went back.

We used it for canning tomatoes & salsa. Every kitchen should have one!!

Well made, sturdy design. Edges are well machined to avoid cuts. We make a lot of soups that we store in mason jars and this is a must have to save time and mess.

my intention of buying this was for espresso portafilter 58mm diameter when using ek43 grinder. this works and also fine for intended purpose for canning funnel. extremely happy with it
