Initially I really liked this flask. However, after 6 or 7 weeks, the rubber ring that forms the seal came loose from the lid and would no longer remain in place when I put it back. From then on, the flask leaked fairly frequently and under normal conditions. Further, the flap over the drinking area is easy to displace. I had the flask in a bag that slipping out of my hand, and because of a tiny 1-foot drop, the flap popped open and spilled coffee everywhere. This product just isn't made for urban commuting where you're being jostled and need to trust the flask in a backpack with electronics.

There are dozens of variations (size, shape, opening and plastic cap styles) for these units. I will fill mine with ice to the brim, add water and lemon juice and go to work, leaving it in my car. At 5 pm, the water is still ice cold and about half the ice remains frozen. If I put it on the countertop at home and forget to wash it, there is still ice the next morning. I am obviously please with this product. We are using the Hydro Flasks (and Swell products) -- they actually are such beautiful items they promote healthy water consumption.

Great water bottle overall. Keeps drinks cold for as long as advertised. One issue I've had is the plastic tube that creates an inner seal comes loose and water spills. For now, I've been able to get it tucked back in, but I do worry about that over time. The twist caps that come with other sizes/iterations of this water bottle don't leak in the same way. Oh, and the size is great. It's not too heavy to carry in my bag when I walk back and forth from school each day!

I bought the little 16 oz coffee thermos and it is my favorite thing in the world. I have 40 and 64oz bottles and this smaller size is the best addition. Every morning I mAke myself an iced coffee that I save for when I start to crash around 2pm at work. I am outside all day- I am a lifeguard st a beach- and by the time I crack it open for my afternoon treat, there is still ice inside and my coffee is the perfect temp. Sometimes when I want to use it as a smaller bottle, I swap out the coffee lid for the flex handle lid that I keep as an extra abs shake some soapy hot water around inside and you would never know that there had ever been coffee in there! It doesn't hold the smell at all. I'm so happy with my thermos and I would highly recommend

Beware -- this product leaks. I am a daily coffee drinker and have been using this travel mug for about one year. I loved it at first because it's adorable and fairly well insulating but have become super disappointed by it. Hot coffee leaks from the seam between the lid and the portion of the lid that gets flipped back when you're drinking. I am not overfilling and cannot figure out why this happens about 20% of the time. I haven't purchased a different mug yet because I spent so much on the last one...

Was so excited to receive my Hydro Flask. Today was the first day using it. Such a perfectly engineered and well thought-out design.Well almost perfect, but not so fast.Great shape, size and finish. Hot coffee is never going to leak out of this puppy unless I do something stupid like forget to screw the lid down or not snap the flip lid down tight. Love these features.But ... when the flip lid is secured open, then I take a sip of coffee, my nose always hits that stupid flip lid. It's wet and warm and gets on my nose and I have to wipe it off. Every single time. I don't have a big nose. I have to learn to drink differently. Who knew.But here's the other thing... I washed the lid and the clear rubber gasket popped out all on it's own.Just happened to see it sitting in my dish pan. Could have gone down into the garbage disposal and I'd never know. Now I'm trying to get that slippery annoying thing back inside the lid and it refuses to cooperate.So frustrating. I cannot believe it. Will not stay in.If this slippery thing keeps popping out every time I wash it, I will surely go crazy and have to send it back.If your eyesight is less-than, forget trying to read the inside of the label. It's like 5pt text.Couldn't get the label off without ripping it to shreds. It's a paper band wrapped tightly around the bottle that looks really cool and a great way to save on packaging. Has some kind of monster glue holding it on. Difficult to get off in one piece. In fact, I tried very carefully and couldn't. Tore it to shreds basically. I really wanted the label intact.If these kinds of things annoy you, might be wise to look elsewhere.UPDATE: never could get the gasket back in, so I'm returning it. Too bad. BEWARE.

The cup itself is great. It keeps hot stuff hot and cold stuff cold for a long time. The lid this cup comes with is absolutely awful. The provided lid leaks out the flap on the top, and often cross-threads resulting in it leaking from the base of the lid. I ordered a couple of after market lids, and they work great. For the price of this cup it should come with a functional lid.

I love this! I use it to carry water for making bottles while I'm out and about with my baby. It gets knocked around on the baby bag with a but and still looks brand new, and the water temp never changes like if I leave it in the car I don't have to worry about the water being super hot.

Bit small for water, so I just use this for coffee now. It is really sturdy and easy-ish to clean but for some reason often impossible to twist open...
