There is WAY too much confusion about sizes for this coat. I ordered Mid-October, 2020, so this is after the size update. As listed, I’m 6’5”, 270 pound weightlifter. I wear a 50 XL suit size, and I have a 40” waist. The 2X insulated coat is tight across the chest and arms, and it was snug around the waist, when I was just wearing a polo shirt. There is no way you could wear this with a thin sweater, much less a shirt and sports coat, sweater, hoodie, whatever. I was really happy with the overall cut, though, because most French coats and car coats are huge through the midsection, and I can usually grab at least 8-10 inches of extra fabric, and I still have room. Also, this is not an extremely long coat. It hit me a few inches below the hip. It should fit over any suit or sports coat, but if you wear something a bit longer, you might have an issue. My dad owned a pair of clothing stores, when I was a kid, and the coat is generally well made. The flap on the inside pocket is a little floppy, but the hidden button holes, shoulders, and pockets are all well-made and show nice attention to detail, unlike some of the old reviews suggest. The shoulder stitching design is noticeable, but doesn’t scream for attention. I’d prefer a straight seam, but it looks okay. Color: it’s not khaki, taupe, or anything close. It’s chocolate brown. It looks good, but it’s not the color I was looking for.

I was worried about the size based on multiple reviews. I am 6’, 182lbs, 31” waste, and I wear a 40 regular in a slim cut suit. I am athletic and I have a 6 pack. This fit perfect on the shoulders and chest. Honestly I was expecting it to be more tapered but it’s not bad at all. I could wear a suit under it if I wanted but I purchased it wear it with just a shirt. I purchased the black thin in a medium. Great deal in my opinion. The fabric is good and the form good. The collar was a concern based on reviews but I find it to be pretty good and firm.

It's rare for me to purchase anything online that I can't try on beforehand, especially clothing and shoes. I've been looking for a stylish and casual coat but I couldn't find any in stores that I liked, so I resorted to online. I eventually found this listing, and the coat looked really good. The majority of reviews were also pretty positive, so I whipped out the measuring tape and measured my best fitting jacket and compared the numbers to the size chart. I ended up getting the large. I figured if it didn't fit I'll just return it for the size that did. When it arrived I crossed my fingers as I opened the package. I was already impressed with the quality of the coat, but my expectations were exceeded when I tried it on... It fit perfectly!!! I'm a bit slim but also muscular, so I wanted a coat that gave me a tapered look rather than looking like a walking rectangle. The coat accentuated my shoulders and narrowed on my hips just the way I like. Obviously I'm very happy with my purchase, and I recommend this coat to any guy looking to bolster their wardrobe.

The pictures presented are not representative of the product you receive. The materials used are extremely low quality. The pictures show a flared, upward lapel. I immediately knew that wasn’t the case unpacking the coat for the first time. As in my picture, the coat lays flat against the chest and shoulders. Very poor representation, and very poor material construction. The overall coat is probably warm and is very thick and heavy, just an extreme misrepresentation of the style of the actual product.

size runs small. referred to the size chart, i wear a 48R suit jacket but this coat (XL) fit more like a L. i returned and upsized. suggest you upsize if you order this coat.

Mostly like the design and shape of the cut that is nicely fit my body. Internal lining is comfort and provides sufficient warmth.
