Wuthering Heights: The Original 1847 First Edition

Wuthering Heights is a classic love story highlighting both the perils of finding a partner and the nature of love that is true and genuine. Though not as complex in character development as sister Charlottes “Jane Eyre”, I found the characters much more enjoyable as the tone of pretentiousness was all but absent. It’s definitely a melancholy book with a surprising ending.

I thought this book was difficult to read. It was depressing because of all the abuse that was going on.

Love this book and the cover is so cool

Unless you are just entering the ninth grade, I am certain that everyone is familiar with this story, via Kindle, movies, TV... it is a great romantic tragedy, Heathcliff and Catherine as stubborn and willful, star crossed lovers. they are frequently the cause of their own miseries. It must be included in life's syllabus of classic literature. However, my own preference is Jane Eyre... written by the other Bronte sister. Read both, go back into time and enjoy the splendor of love, tragedy and forebearance written by two women who lived sheltered lives in an age that is far removed from us. How did they do it so well?

Love the story, but the book and writing is so big, it's annoying

A classic love story. Makes you believe in true love.I have read it many times and always enjoy it.

There is no indication that this book is in huge print. Its the size of a magazine and all the letters are bigger than my grandparents books. Ridiculous!
