Sightmark wraith UHD digital scope
This thing is awesome. The infrared night vision works amazingly well on this. The clarity and zoom are too notch, plus the ability to record at 4k with sound is impressive. I coyote hunt at night and rechargeable battery lasts 6 hours with scope on in freezing temperatures. The infrared flashlight that comes with it however only lasts about 2 hours and requires an odd sized set of batteries that aren’t cheap, about $5 each. Might be worth getting an aftermarket rechargeable infrared flashlight to go with this. It is supposed to be one shot zero but if you dont have a vice, it’s more like 4 or 5 which is still great. Scope has been on for 6 months and still holds zero. This is definitely worth the money and a very cool tool for hunting day or night

Awesome budget scope!
I was saving for pulsar thermal for hunting season, then I met a guy using this product at the shooting range. I was surprised that it didn't have much delay at all and picture was clear. So I bought this on Black Friday.Works way better than expected.Pros. All functions work as described.Clear vision at pitch dark upto about 150~200 yards. No lag, no freeze, easy to use.Cons. Infrared light. Recommend for blind hunting since you need to adjust strength and focus of your ir light. Side mount is not ergonomic when you carry.Battery runs out faster than expected.Battery lasted around 3 hours+ with 4k, but just bring your small size power bank.If you don't want to break your bank, but wanna bring some meat, this product will get what you need.

Works as advertised
Works nice and easy to attach to firearm. Easy to sight in. I did have it freeze on me twice, but overall am happy with it. It is a bit heavy. Good quality material and has a clear picture.

Will not hold zero.
I have now owned 4 Sightmark wraiths, both HD versions and now the 4K max(x2). Both 4K max has the same issue and had to be returned. Both 4K max were mounted on an AR10, sighting in at 25 yards seemed fine, backed up to 50 yards for confirmation and now you can’t hit the same place twice no matter how many adjustments you make. And these shots are not off by a small margin, up to 6 inches from shot to shot with no discernible pattern at all. Put the wraith HD back on the same rifle and sight it in with 3 shots and confirmed at 50 yards no problem. On the underside of the mount there are 4 clearly worn spots from where it unevenly touches the pic rail. That is my only guess as to why it won’t hold a zero. Picture included. The scope was mounted to the specified 20-25 inch pounds using a wheeler torque wrench. The 4K image is significant better than the HD versions and the ir illuminator was brighter. It’s very disappointing that neither 4K max was usable. I did purchase a 4K mini as a gift and it has been rock solid so far. My opinion is skip the 4K max and save up for the 4K mini. But if you are on a budget, the HD versions work great, especially as a day time scope. At night you won’t be able to zoom in and see clearly past about 175 yards(depending a lot on your ir illuminator) with the HD versions.I will say that the warranty from Sightmark is hard to beat, 3 years full coverage if you register your product. I was able to return both 4K max’s in the Amazon return window.

Better than expected
This is my first digital scope. I have extensive experience with rifle scopes with price range from cheap to well over $3k...and I do own Gen3 night scopes. I have limited experience with thermo scopes. Some impressions on the Sightmark:1. It feels very solidly built. Made of metal and is pretty hefty.2. Not much instructions, but the menu system is very easy to navigate.3. Image quality is surprisingly good in good light. Especially at 1x magnification, which really is 3x magnification. The zoom is a digital zoom and if you're familiar with digital zooms on your phones, it is not nearly as good as optical zoom. On the sight mark, the image starts to pixelate at 4x which is about 12x optical. Not bad...I saw a prior review saying that the image is shaky...the reviewer apparently doesn't know much about optics...yes it's shaky...when you're at 3x optical equivalent, your movement and shakes are 3x worse than 1x...at 18x optical equivalent, you're movements and shakes are 18x magnified...this is how optics work.4. Night vision is not great without the illuminator. With the illuminator the image is BETTER than my Gen 3 by a good margin. This is great for hunting...but for you wanna be tactical dudes....the illuminator will obviously give away your position to others using night vision type devices5. Frankly I've not used much of the recording so I won't comment.6. Battery life is really good, and the fact that it runs off a battery pack is a fantastic option. What I think could be better1. This uses digital camera technology...I wish it has some sort of autofocus..even some thing rudimentary to get things close to be in focus...now it's totally manual focus2. This comes the front lens cover...but not for the back lens. Which can get dusty despite the shroud.3. I wish the mount is a bit longer to allow a bit more flexibility...and I wish the quick release mount is standard rather than a $50 option.4. Firmware needs an update soon...it does freeze and crash some times. I'm using 2.12 and it does have times when the menus is not accessible, or when it won't record, and some times it's very slow to shut down. I'll update to 2.20 to see if it's better.Overall, I think this is a very nice scope for most purposes...would I recommend this over a $800 optical scope? Probably yes for these reasons. First, it's much easier to use than an optical scope...one shot zero is much easier than knobs and zero stops, etc. Second....there's lots of retinal choices...which most beginners have a hard time choosing...Third, the night sight option is a very interesting option and works very well.Who shouldn't get this? Long range competitive shooters....the optics simply isn't as good as a that of say a Viper PSTII....It's pretty heavy...and it runs on battery. So if you need absolute reliability, get an optical scope. Digital scopes are like a small computer...it can and does freeze and malfunction at a software level. And like I said before...it's not for the tactical type...in order to see in dim light...you need an illuminator...which will make you very visible...like a bright light in the night to other night vision user...unlike a true Gen 3 device which gathers ambient light much better.Other thoughts...I think that this scope is probably best suited for the AR 15 platform based on it's optical range and mounting system. Only thing it it's a pretty heavy scope and would weigh down the rifle quite a bit. There's an optional extended mount that might work better for bolt action rifles.

works
Works as described, good visibility day and night, relatively easy to sight in, seems to hold "zero", mounted on 5.56..

You get what you pay for.
While the scope works, you get what you pay for. Not intuitive to use. For the money, it works okay.
