Blue Buffalo Wilderness High Protein, Natural Adult Small Breed Dry Dog Food, Chicken 11-lb

I've fed my dogs Blue Buffalo for years. There has been some rhetoric about Blue Buffalo in general - some of which has caused me to seek out other foods for my little guys - but we always wind up returning to it. It's the only food I know they will eat. This Adult Small Breed is no exception. The dogs usually don't like the LifeSource Bits - I find them scattered on the floor around their food dish. Until this flavor. I don't know what's up with these LifeSource Bits versus the LifeSource Bits in the other flavors, but these VANISH. I think I have found one - and that was because it had rolled under the water bowl and they probably couldn't reach it.My teacup Chihuahua had Parvo as a pup. When I adopted her from the shelter no one mentioned she required a high protein diet because of this - and I had no idea. I found out, after feeding her a regular diet for awhile - that if she doesn't have the high protein, she vomits blood. Over and over - usually until we wind up at the animal ER. Some fluids and medications calm her system, but the high protein food seems to quell the problem altogether. Blue Buffalo is the brand the 3 of them like best of all the high protein foods we've tried...except the home-cooked high protein food. (Of course!) My vet has warned me about the nutritional deficiencies home-cooked food has long term, even if you are adding egg shell, etc for calcium and following other little tricks. I feel better about feeding them a good food that has been scientifically proven to be nutritionally sound.The small kibble is easy for tiny breeds to chew and I haven't seen any negative effects from this food. As long as their is a need for high protein food - they like the taste of this - and it keeps them healthy, this is our dog food of choice. If anything changes, I will update this review, but this will be in my little one's bowls until then. I don't mind spending the extra to know that they aren't eating "crap". (They probably do enough of that - for free - in the backyard.)

My dogs a extremely picky eater. I tried raw diets, unkibble, fresh styled dog foods, meal toppers, just wet food, anything and everything. He would not take a liking to it. I’m extremely picky on the ingredients in my dogs food while sticking to a budget. When my vet told me to give this a shot I did. Glad he told me gave him a scoop of this stuff and Baxter scarfed it down. First food he has ever done that too with out a topper. I’m pleased with the results and ingredients. From one dog parent to another with a picky pup give this a try.

After being unable to find this food any where else I finally turned to Amazon. I love the fact I can just set it for auto delivery and I never have to worry about it not being available again. You can set it to how often you need it and amazon lets you know when it's on the way. This food has been great for my dogs and has had no recalls.

I have been feeding this to my dogs for years and just recently discovered it's on amazon! I usually hunt around for a good deal, but after moving, our new local store didn't carry this particular bag. We like this because it's Blue Buffalo, so the quality is amazing. It's a small bites formula, so the kibble sizes are smaller, perfect for my littler dogs. The price was right too and free shipping?! I couldn't pass up on the offer. I will now buy this on amazon every time I need a new bag. Also, this may be a little gross, but It's true....with a higher quality food I've noticed that one of my dogs (who is normally very gassy) is less gassy and when I clean up poop in the yard the poop doesn't smell as bad as it used to. Probably has something to do with the high quality food they are getting. In love with this product :)

I tried this food for my dogs because I wanted to have a product with better ingredients. I purchased this for a few months and my dogs LOVED it. They are free feeders and would eat this so much i had to limit thier food everyday which was unusual. I also have two picky eaters which is why it surprised me. The food is quality and it's amazing for your dog. The bad thing is that the bag is small and it is really expensive. In the short time I was using it, the bag got smaller and it went up 15 dollars. I didn't want to hook my dogs on a food with that kind of inflation on the product. I ended up picking a food that was just as healthy but slightly cheaper.

I have tried three different foods for my long coat Chihuahua..most had too much grain..artificial coloring and things I didn't want him consuming..especially since he is about 6lbs. things are more toxic for a little dog. I now believe this food is the fit..his teeth are plaque free and white..the protein gives him spunk and bright eyes...even a huge difference in the sheen of his black and white coat..I have even noticed even though he was bathed he still had a "dog" odor while eating his last food we had tried..the dog odor is Gone..bathroom time outside makes pick up easy with firm waste..no loose messes..no terrible doodoo odor..no vomiting either ever..I had a bit of water on a small portion of food to increase his water intake and help him go to the bathroom easier as the protein firms him up,the other portion he eats dry to keep his teeth and gums healthy..

My 1 year old cocker spaniel absolutely loves this food. The morsels are small and are easy to digest. I had tried a few different types of dog food in the year and a half i’ve had him and after reading the reviews I wanted to try this one. I am so glad I switched. He runs to the container each time I ask if he wants to eat and can’t wait the put his mouth in his food dish. I especially love the size of the bag... it’s very easy for a woman to handle. I have noticed a big improvement in his coat and the higher protein content seems to keep him satisfied for a longer period of time. I’m so glad I made the switch.
