Car plus summer heat = adhesion failure.
The magnets are plenty strong to securely hold a firearm, but the adhesive tape cannot hold up to summer heat in a vehicle.

Screws are junk, the tape doesn’t stick at all , Rubber face comes off, terrible. Magnet is just ok
I doubt the double backed tape is actually 3 M because it sucks. 1 stuck ok the second didn't adhere at all. No not at all, not even as well as a cruddy bandaid. The magnet seems to work well and has a wide surface area unlike some of the other cheap truck magnets,... Will absolutely not hold a shotgun. I doubt it would hold a full sized handgun in a vehicle jarring around.
