Battle Yahtzee, but better.
Like many modern board gamers, we looked down upon dice chuckers. Why play a dice-chucking luck-fest when there are so many compelling Euros, right? That was until we chanced upon Dice Throne. This is basically overproduced Battle Yahtzee, where each box contains 2 characters with their own card decks, special abilities and custom dice that you use to duel as a 2-player game (or 2-vs-2 etc). Meh? What makes this game special is the absolutely fantastic art, the perfect inserts from GameTrayz and overall superb component quality.King of Tokyo was our go-to dice-chucking filler, but suffice it to say Dice Throne has taken its place.Coming to this specific boxset, the Huntress and Tactician get a lot of hate as being underpowered. The Tactician is very obvious to play, but the Huntress has a somewhat interesting strategy with the accompanying tiger Nyra (and the art is just breathtaking). If you're a fan of the Avengers, consider ordering that version instead directly.
