LWW Brs Microbiology and Immunology

Like all of the BRS guides, these give very concise, to-the-point summaries are pretty much even topic you will cover in class. They are not all-inclusive like a textbook, but will definitely give you the overview you need while reviewing.

This book is riddled ( or as the author might say "ridiculed") with typos and errors. I found two in one sentence. For example, page 278 indicates the following: ".....a hyposensitive state can be achieved by repeated PARENTAL ( should be parenteral) injection of the agent in SUBLIMINAL ( should be subclinical) doses." Aside from the copious errors I am enjoying reading this book and doing the associated questions. I ain't mad.

Exactly what I needed as an additional resource to microbiology and immunology

This book was a nic compliment to our microbiology and immunology material but by no means should this be your main source. It lacked many of the topics we have discussed thus far in the first year of medical school. Add it if you can afford it, but if you cannot dont stress there are other micro sources out there.
