There’s a lot of taps out there- all plastic. Unless you’re super tight on the budget, you’re better off sticking with this one. After all, you’re using this to stick in a whole of a large fruit which requires some pressure, specially on a hard surface like a pumpkin. I highly recommend this metal version of the fruit tap.

I'm not one to post a ton of reviews on Amazon, but I have to because people LOVED this and there's some steps you should take outside of the instructions.1) WASH OUT YOUR WATERMELON! The product is high quality, but the hole inside the watermelon is about the size of a toothpick. Any particle bigger than a toothpick will clog up the tap. Any particle smaller than a toothpick may get stuck inside the tap. People had me unclog it three times on my 40th birthday because they loved it so much and I thought that blending some watermelon with vodka was a good idea, but particles equals clogs and eventually I just filled it to the brim with vodka and it was fine.2) Buy a fine strainer with a handle. You will have to strain out watermelon chunks occasionally to unclog it and I had to remove it, run it under hot water to get rid of an internal clog once. WASH OUT YOUR WATERMELON.3) It will drip from the spout. I put a red solo cup under it to catch the drips until someone used the cup and now there's a sticky puddle of vodka, Malibu rum, watermelon mess on the floor.4) Finally, people LOVED IT! We're talking grown adults in their 30s forming a line even though the vodka bottle is right next to it. I can only imagine how much kids would love it if it was just punch.This is a very high quality product that was a huge hit at my party, just WASH OUT YOUR WATERMELON.

I went to a neighborhood party and they had the Blazin Watermelon Tap... Everyone loved it! The only problem is you need to order two, so you have a watermelon on standby.I just ordered 3 more and will bring as the perfect party gift. Bring a watermelon filled with vodka with the Blazin Watermelon Tap and tell them to keep the tap as a gift. TOTALLY COOL. And FYI, the crappy plastic ones dont work and they leak precious vodka all over. Cheers, you will thank me :-)

I was really excited about having this for my daughters 22nd birthday party. I was disappointed that I couldn't put it out. The beverage came out in drops and very slowly and I was too embarrassed to set it out.

I read other reviews and took many precautions to prevent leakage. I made a proper hole in the middle of the pumpkin, used washers on inside and outside, and tested it ahead of time. Despite this, a major leak started after only a few people used the tap. My pumpkin punch drained onto the floor during my party and got all over the rug. I had too much punch in the pumpkin (and in my brain) and couldn’t transfer it to any other bowl...so it kept leaking and distracted my guests as they continuously tried to fix it. This was a nice idea but I wouldn’t use this particular product again.
