No-One Ever Has Sex On A Tuesday: A Very Funny Romantic Novel
E**G
Fun Read
This is a really cute book. I have been reading a ton of romances that deal with heavy topics lately and I needed something to wind down with. This book worked! No-One Ever Has Sex on a Tuesday is a humorous chick lit novel (although I found the last 50% of the book to be much funnier than the first 50%). This is a novel about pregnancy, not taking life too seriously, and true love (even if it takes a few hiccups along the way to be perfected). It is the first book in the series and each book must be read in order as it follows the same couple through each book. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick and fun read! I can't wait to read the next book to see what happens next (parenthood could be super funny for these two!).I don't have too much to say about this one as it truly is a quick read (the PB is 220 pages) but I will warn readers that there is a minor cheating incident that takes place. The heroine of the story actually doesn't know who the father of her baby is until she gives birth. However, it doesn't come off as very serious in the story. Sure, it is a major part of the plot, but it doesn't sit too heavy. I know many readers will stray from books with cheating in them, so I wanted to give fair warning beforehand.

Just like a Tuesday
Katy was someone I wanted to like. Ben was a mess. Matthew more so and Allison a nightmare. So sorry Tracy, but by the end of this book I wanted to hit them all over the head with the damned birthing book!! A few laughs but more "ughs" than anything.

Decent lazy day read
While not the best book I ever read, I did enjoy it. I usually read the bad reviews and skip the good ones, making my decision on what to read. I think that this book is set in England confuses some people because there are terms and words that we don't employ in the U.S. Since I worked with English fan clubs and corporations for years, I had a slightly better understanding than some, I think. Possible SPOILER... In addition, my husband is 15 years younger than I so I immediately got the concept of "this is an impossible relationship so I could not possibly fall in love and get hurt so this person is a safe date". Told myself all those things when we started dating and he was 19! Let my guard down and it sneaked up on me. Been married for 30 years now and still love each other. Nice to see a sort of lopsided relationship besides my own work out well.

Cute, just don't think about it.
I know romance novels are supposed to have a happy ending. But this one wraps up just a little too nicely. I could not identify with Matthew and Ben both excusing bad decisions to getting drunk. What is it with men in the UK? They seemed to drink to excess all the time in this book, and then make decisions that they later write off. The men got drunk and the women paid the price. Tell me again this is a light romance. Katy would do better on her own, but she has no confidence. She needs a man, even if he really does not add much, pretty soon she will be parenting two children, her child and her husband.

Five Stars
I absolutely loved this book. One of my book clubs chose to read this book for the month of February and everyone had finished it in a couple of days of picking it up its that good. You will not want to put it down. If you are wanting a fast reader that keeps you drawn in and makes you want to read more then you definitely need to read this book.

Happy ending
This book was written and edited well, the story was good but just not for me. Girl meets boy in high school, they are a forever couple until freshman year in college when she comes to surprise him and he has a surprise of his own. Girl is interesting of relationships so she gets into a physical only relationship with a guy....pregnancy happens and she doesn't know whose baby it is, the old flame who is married and expecting twins with his wife after they had one night together after reunion or the sex only guy.

Funny, But Not Clever
A bookaholic like myself won't have any problem reading through this romantic comedy, but I will say that not ONE of the characters evoked any warm fuzzy feelings. They were all so pathetic and self-centered that I truly didn't care what happened to them. All that aside, it was readable and laced with humor. Unfortunately, the author fell into the same trap as many others... It seems that these days, only gay men can be witty. There were some great one liners, but it is about time to drop this stereotype of gay men. It was too forced.

I thought this was a light-hearted read with some really funny parts
I purchased this book from Amazon and I have had it on my TBR list for quite a while. The third book in the series is out this week so I thought it was time I got myself all caught up.The first thing I have to say about Tracy’s writing is that it is so funny. I loved the Gloria scene. I won’t say anything else about it but it was very funny. Daniel was also very funny and one of my favourite characters in this book. This book follows Katy in the last month or so of her pregnancy. Around 8 months earlier Katy slept with her high school sweetheart, Matthew. She also slept with her sort of boyfriend, Ben. Katy has had trust issues ever since the circumstances of her and Matthew’s break up at about 18. Katy has kept men at arms length ever since.I have to say that I didn’t particularly like Matthew. In fact after reading all 3 books I still don’t like him. I think he is a bit selfish really. At first I also didn’t like his wife Alison but I warmed to her more in book two.I really liked Ben and I felt a bit sorry for him at times. He is clearly a really good guy, yes he is a bit younger than Katie, Matthew and Alison but what he lacked in maturity he made up for in loyalty.I thought this was a light-hearted read with some really funny parts. It was easy to relate to, you could easily imagine knowing someone in Katy’s situation. I really enjoyed reading this and read it very quickly too. As soon as I finished I started the next book in the series.

A hidden gem!
Wow! What an unexpected gem! I downloaded this book after hearing some good things about it on twitter. I love the title, I think it's definitely something to get head turning in a bookshop or online, straight and to the point, so that, initially, was what attracted me to the book. But when I started reading I actually found it to be a real page turner! Right from the word go, we find out that our heroine Katy isn't exactly happy to be pregnant, and underneath it all, she isn't really looking forward to the prospect of motherhood, and the changes it will bring...But the book is about so much more than that. We get to travel back in time to when Katy met Ben, back to school where she met Matthew, and where Matthew met his wife Alison. What follows is a twisted romp of a novel involving all four of them in ways you would never expect! It's so well written because I really felt like I was there with the characters, in the antenatal classes, at disaster out weddings and even on the labour ward! I also like that fact that it was set mainly in Leeds, I like a northern novel-but them I'm entirely biased!Katy was a fabulous character. A really strong female. And yet, as I said, she seems almost in denial about the baby coming and her complicated situation entirely! She has bought some of the baby stuff but it still sits in bags in the bedroom. Despite being strong, she does succumb to the hormones of pregnancy in some parts, there are some very funny moments when this happens! Her boyfriend Ben, who is 8 years younger than her, also seems in denial about the baby, he goes through a lot over the course of the story and becomes a much stronger person because of it. I started out disliking him but by the end of the book I was rooting for him all the way!Initially I liked Matthew but the more I got to know him, find out about his relationship with Katy and his relationship with Allison, I really began to dislike him, he and Ben switched places by the end of the novel for me. I felt really sorry for Allison throughout the whole thing, and not just because she is expecting twins! I really hope that she has a happy ending. The fact that I felt worried for her by the end of the book shows how well written the whole thing was.I think that this book would be a fabulous addition to anyone's summer reading list, add it to your kindle now. It's fast-laced and fun, but at the same time, very real. I think there is something in here for everyone, and will be looking forward to hearing much more from this author in the future!

This is crying out to be made into a film!
After vowing that I was buying no more books until I had cleared my kindle of the books waiting to be read ( upwards of 50!) I was seduced by yet another 99p read! I am so glad I bought this book, it was very easy to read and would have devoured it in one session if work had not got in the way.The main character, Katie, finds herself unexpectedly pregnant, her boyfriend is a bit silly and immature and she still has feelings for the boy who broke he heart when she was eighteen. The book starts with their first visit to the ante natal class and there are shades of Amy Bratleys " The Ante Natal Group" about it although this book is much funnier. The plot develops as it explores the relationship between Katie and Ben and another couple at the group, Matthew and Alison and although these are the main characters, Daniel, Katie's gay friend and Braindead, Bens mate, both have great cameo roles. The characters are extremely well written, the plot becomes quite complex at times and although this is a very funny book you may wonder if there is any way it can have a happy ending. The book is hilarious in places and I can well imagine this book as a film in the style of Bridget Jones, Katie would be a wonderful female lead with Ben and Matthew slogging it out a la Daniel Cleaver and Mark Darcy. The scene at the beer festival, the dinner party, the wedding reception and the labour room scene are crying out to be converted into glorious technicolor! If not a film then at least a one off TV comedy drama! What an unexpected pleasure this book has been to read, and now, despite vowing to buy no more books until I have cleared some of the backlog, I shall have to buy Tracy Blooms next book!

The shortest book ever!
Being a woman myself in the 30s, I have loads of friends in a situation like this, so I can easily relate to the story. It is okay funny... but there are a lot more interesting and funnier books than this one, to name a few "Me before you" and "You had me at hello" are much more outstanding compared to this.It was the title of the book that got my attention. But I'm not too sure about the "A very Funny and Romantic" part... I really struggled to find something romantic about it!There are some funny bits of it in the book, but quite a lot of them came across as the Tracy Bloom was trying a bit too hard to be funny. The characters of Daniel and Katy shared quite a nice and refreshing spark, but the rest are just so common, nothing really special. To my surprise, it only consists of 223 pages... and the actual story was only 190 pages long, the remaining 30 odd pages are acknowledgement and preview of the next book! I bought this on kindle for 99p , I would be gutted if I had to pay the full price of £5.99 in paper back for this... it just doesn't worth it. A book of 190 pages, and the ending was ever so predictable and rushed... couldn't help but to think whether Tracy Bloom had run out of ideas, so decided to cash in what she could get instead.

Charming, funny and an easy read. Perfect!
5 stars because it made me smile.5 stars because I didn't want to put it down.5 stars because the story line flowed easily and harmlessly -nothing to be afraid of, not trying to be too clever.5 stars as a holiday read.5 stars for great characters that I would like to meet again- I want a gay friend like Daniel!Pick it up, read it, put it down. No need to think or scrutinise it, no need to work out it's real meaning. Just enjoy!
