has anybody purchased this chair for use by a person over 450 lbs? I know it is advertised for 800 lbs, but would hate for anybody to get hurt

My chair broke holding under 400 pounds. I mainly kept it folded up in the kitchen with a LifeTime fold up table but used my rollator (it was just annoying trying to get that heap of steel out of the kitchen but I eventually bought another to keep there permanently). Company was over and I was using it at my desk for a couple of days when the legs just gave out and luckily, it folded where I ended up laying down (I have very bad knees and also bought an falsely rated shower chair which damaged me irreparably). That said, for an event its a stronger chair of its type, but would fall short of the type you could term the card table chair. I would not plan on sitting on it for more than an hour or so and today I see the results of your question in that this chair is being sold at closeout sites for $9 and $10. I would not want anyone getting hurt either. I never reviewed it and glad I didn't. Like I said, it was barely used even though I bought it in 2015 and once I used it for a few days and more frequently and more than two hours at a stretch, it was broken in under five days.

Will these chairs support 350lbs? Wanting to purchase for extra seating at dinner parties and some guests are plus size.

I don't think this would be a good idea for all that plus size i bought some but didn't have that size i know it can take 250,260 but im not sure about 350

AMAZING QUALITY AND VALUE

These chairs are absolutely phenomenal and I never thought I would say that about a folding chair. They take up so little space because they click together. They say they hold up to 650 lb and I believe, They are so sturdy and have a nice tread on the seat. And are better quality than other folding chairs. Absolutely buy these if you are looking for any folding chairs. Like I said they fold up together and doesn't take hardly any room up

Hercules Big and Tall Commercial Folding Chairs. Flash Furniture, They Got It Right!

I've been searching for extra seating (tiny house). I came across Flash Furniture, and found a full selection and various ranges in weight capacity; six colors to choose, and different package amounts (set of 2 & all the way up to set of 20 chairs). I went with the Hercules Big and Tall Commercial Folding Chair - Extra Wide 650LB. Capacity - Durable Plastic - Gray, 4-Pack at a sale price of-30% $114.94 $28.74 per Count($28.74 / Count). The gray is neutral in color and will fit any decorator, plus they will store very nicely in my home. These chairs are very sturdy; and I'm a 5X fluffy; seat & back are molded plastic & very comfortable. Measuring using metal tap (approx., size without counting the mold in parts), back rest 17 l/2" long X 7 1/4" Wide; seat of the chair 17 1/2 " Long X 17 1/2" Deep; finally the seat of the chair is 18" from the floor. These measurements are not of the total chair, but what your body most likely will contact when sitting in the chair. If - I had more space in my tiny home; I would be ordering another set of 4 chairs. Highly recommend that you purchase at least the 4 chair set!

Positives: Sturdy base, comfortable, easily stackable, and low price.Negatives: 2 of the 10 “new” chairs looked like they were tested for fingerprints by CSI. I would not be surprised if this company refurbishes damaged chairs and resells them as new.Overall: Definitely worth the price!!!
