Beginner friendly
I did minimal research before I decided to buy this meat press. It didn’t come with instructions or recipes like I expected but it was easy enough to find some videos online. It doesn’t make as much meat as you would expect because the springs take up so much room but it was enough for a beginner. It did come with the thermometer though which was great. A lot of others a lot of others didn’t come with one! Be careful though, the thermometer was in Celsius which is important to know.

Simple way to make homemade ham and deli meats
I wanted to try something new with my venison this year and used the press to make venison " ham" and deli meats, Works well and keeps good pressure on the meat while being cured and cooked. There are many recipe to be found on the web and you can easily make your own ham, or a variety of deli meats using poultry , beef or pork with the greatest advantage of being able to control the amount of salt ( sodium) if you on a sodium restricted diet. The amount of flavors you can make are as far as your imagination can take you . I also did find that using the insert bags make unmolding the meat much easier, but either way clean up is a breeze.

WARNING : The included Thermometer can not measure up to the required heat for some foods!
Most recipes that call for chicken to be used in this device say that it must be cooked to 155 degrees F.The thermometer included only goes up to 120 Degrees F.

Cajun Chicken
I have made cajun chicken three times. I love being able to make my own deli meat because I can control the amount of sugar in the recipe. My only problem is coming up with a the correct amount of seasonings to use. I love the deli meat press and look forward to creating other deli meats.
