Strapcrafts 2-Inch Wide by 2-Yard Colored Double-Side Twill Elastic Band-Navy Blue 12020

The elastic is nice and sturdy and should work fine for what I want to use it for. However, the picture shows a medium navy blue color which is what I wanted, but the elastic color is so dark it is almost black. FYI

I purchased these various colors of 2 inch wide twill elastic to wide the waist of several pairs of high waited pants, that are just too uncomfortable, as is. I really dislike the "new high waisted design in women's pants. Thus the elastic to have the waist of these uncomfortable pants have a bit of give.

As you can see from my photo, as someone else also commented, the elastic is a very dark blue, not the denim blue as in the photo. Some reviews said it was too stiff; I found it to be acceptable but not as soft as the waistband elastic I found at a craft store. Again, as others have said, the wide elastic is a good use for extending the waistband on jeans or leggings that are low rise--I have a problem with those since my pants seem to slide down, which is quite annoying. With an elastic waistband stitched to the top, I have found that the pants/leggings stay in place and feel much more comfortable. The white and black elastic from Hobby Lobby was priced at $4 whereas this was $10, so I had hoped for it to be a denim blue and match better.

I bought this to save a couple pair of silver brand jeans I love but we're in the now outdated low waisted style. I got tired of pulling up my jeans every time I bent over or sat down. Just sew this elastic right to the top waistband with a zigzag stitch and it comes right up to the right place on my hip/waist. Of course you will have to add a button or Velcro too. Or, if you are narrow enough hipped, I just sew together and step in. The color and feel is nice. I bought elastic this size in a fabric store but it didn't have enough give as this did to get the trick done. Also, this had enough for two jeans.

I was hopeful that this would work for my jeans. It is very stiff, tight elastic. I was hoping for something more soft and comfortable around the waist. I tried it, and I don't like it. I will be ripping it out.

Bought this for waistbands and it’s exactly what was needed. I purchased a different brand and it was to soft and rolled down upon wearing. Just ordered more of this brand!

Truth I thought I was getting something smaller (width) but I will try it! Love the color and the feel of the material

Had to return because straps are 2 cm wide. Not 2 inches as stated.
