These were a good value for the $. The numbers and notches are easy to read. I like having a dark ruler to contrast against a white piece of paper. The rulers are well designed and feel of good quality.

As design professional (of too many years now) I found my old scales too difficult to read any longer (mainly from use). These are great replacements. I would have given them a better rating, but they are the same basic design as all others I've ever used. They're newer, therefore, better.

These rulers are much sturdier than their plastic counter parts, they definately can take the abuse of being out in a construction trailer or truck. I'll definately get a few more sets.
