I read the reviews of several of these Ceylon Cinnamon products on Amazon - nearly all have people saying 'this isn't the real deal' or 'it doesn't smell of anything'. I took a chance on this one - can't actually remember why. I've never intentionally purchased anything other than Cassia before from the supermarket, though I notice my last jar (Bart, I think) was the Ceylon/ Cinnamomum zeylanicum type. Anyway - point being, I'm not an expert. But I opened this packet up and the difference in smell was amazing - very strong and possibly a little medicinal for some, but really layered and fresh smelling. A world away from dusty supermarket stuff - even the Bart brand. And the batch of Cinnabuns I baked with it were delicious. So, either I got lucky or these guys at least are worth buying from again.

Incredible fragrant bouquet, rich dark colour. Natural mildly sweet and spicy flavour. I have never found a cinnamon with this much richness of scent and flavour. Never encountered proper cinnamon until I opened the packet and had a sniff. Worth every penny. True ceylon cinnamon.
