YML20-Inch Open Top Parrot Cage with Stand, White

I had a perfectly nice cage, but its bars were dark and I began to think my two parakeets might be happier with something lighter and brighter, so I got this cage in white. It's nice and roomy and, believe me, the white makes all the difference in the room. It transforms the corner that it's in. Totally mood lifting. Can't read their little parakeet minds, but my birds seem very happy in there! Even their colors look prettier when you don't have to look through dark bars at them.When the cage came, though, I noticed that the manufacturer had installed the door hinges for the big front door on the wrong vertical bar. It left a huge gap between the edge of the door and the front panel of the cage. Too dangerous for the birds. I called Wayfair, who had shipped me the cage, and they couldn't have been more understanding. They shipped an entire replacement cage to me immediately. The door was hinged correctly on that one. They didn't expect me to ship back the faulty merchandise, either.The tray to this cage is super easy to clean and the low sides swoop up all-of-a-piece with the bottom. This means hulls and seeds don't get caught in corners and along tray seams. The cage paper I use — 19 1/2 x 19 1/2 inches is slightly larger than the tray and this is good because it goes up the tray sides a little and helps keep debris from getting underneath.The front door to this cage is large and when you open it, you do have to be careful your birds don't get out. Some other cage's bars may be more solid than these, but I wouldn't call these flimsy, either. As far as putting it together, it's not difficult. A half-hour or less. All in all, I'm very happy with my birds' new home.

Very pleased with this cage. I bought this to house a handicapped cockatiel who doesn’t like to spend much time out of his cage. This is perfect for him. He has plenty of space to move around and gets the exercise that he doesn’t want to have by simply coming out of his cage.Assembly wasn’t simple, but it wasn’t overly complicated either. Just a matter of studying the diagram and a bit of trial and error and assistance from a second pair of hands. Written directions would have made it a little easier, but once you have the pieces laid out, putting it together is pretty self-explanatory.The one thing I really don’t like about this cage is the front door. It opens by lifting up the whole thing and pulling it open. I feel this could have been much better with an actual latch of some kind. Sometimes it’s not easy to get the door closed and it upsets my bird when I have to struggle with a noisy door.Overall, a very good price on a large cage and, apart from some minor nit-picky things, I’m quite happy with this.

Easy to assemble, good design, my cockatiel likes it, light weight, easy to transport in case of bird sitting, pretty, I like it. She is able to get out of the cage from inside to the open top with no problem.

This cage was purchased for our cockatiel, who needed more room to live and play. He loves it! The one-page instruction sheet is sufficient for the assembly, which only took me an hour to assemble because of a tiny metal burr or drip on the inside of one of the holes in the base into which the legs are bolted. If it wasn't for that tiny glitch, I think I could have completed it in under 30 minutes by myself. The cage itself is well constructed and looks beautiful. It came neatly packaged and unblemished, with two dishes and perches. It's a great buy.

When I got the cage, there were some instructions, but they were very vague. Also, the small bar didn't fit into the open up top, so I just used one of the preaches from an old cage. I would NOT recommend this to budgie or parakeets (whatever you like to call them) because today, my budgie got her head stuck in one of the bars and tried to wiggle free but got her wings stuck too. Thankfully, we got her out, but do not buy this cage for ANY small bird without knowing that their head could get caught. Other than that, I LOVE the cage and my budgie loves the space! Ps. It is a lot bigger than it looks in the picture! Hope this helped!

The bird cage was delivered fast and I really appreciated that. This is my friend's bird and the cage his bird was in was to small. I am bird watching for him. I would have never been able to put this cage together myself. It took a friend of mine who did almost all the work, about 2 hours. I suppose you could do it faster, but we wanted to be sure that all the prongs were bent so the cage was secure and so they would not hurt the bird. We also used a lot of ties to pull the metal close together in certain areas where the pieces met, so the bird wouldn't get his foot or feet stuck between the cage bars or parts. It's a nice cage. The measurements that they give are from top to bottom. They are not just the area where the bird is in, so it makes it a little smaller for the bird. The cage itself is approximately 20 inches wide by 20 inches deep and just under 24 inches high. The bird is a cockatiel and I think it's big enough for him. It comes with two nice stainless steel bowls and bowl holders, plus three wooden perches. One is for the top if you leave the top open. There are two side doors to put the food in and take out. The only thing I don't like is the front door is very big. If you open it for anything it would be very easy for the bird to get out. You have to be very careful if you don't want the bird to escape. It would have been nice to have a smaller door on the front of the cage to be able to get in there and clean easier. All in all, I am happy with this cage. It serves the purpose and it fits nicely on the stand. The instructions are on the box with the shipping label. They definitely help but you have to use your own common sense to completely figure how to put the cage together so it's safe and secure. I printed out a picture of the cage so when we were putting it together it did really help. I would give this cage a 4 out of 5 stars. I do not give it 5 stars because of such a large door in the front. I think it's worth the money.

I really like the cage as it has a large door and size is perfect for my birds. The only thing wrong is that the door doesn't open as easily as it should. The other two I have like it slide smoothly,not this one. Otherwise I am very happy with it and the price was right.

This was worth the money! Is really easy to assemble and my conures are fighting less now that they have matching cages!
