The Three Musketeers

One for all, all for one
I’ve read and enjoyed Alexandre Dumas' classic The Three Musketeers when I was in my late teens, and wanted to share this with my daughter who developed some interest in pre-revolutionary France. Following a recent trip to France. The real work might be a tough too demanding for her, even though she is an enthusiastic reader. But these Usborne books are typically a safe bet to introduce her to the essence of the material. The condensed storyline is clear but exciting, even for me as a parentAs always these Usborne Young reader books are extremely well presented; there is a sturdy hard cover, excellent colourful illustrations on each page, glossy thick paper and a page finder ribbon. So my daughter loves to read them with me during guided reading sessions and is proud to collect them in her growing book case. So far she has already collected a vast amount of the Usborne historical event and character books that she meticulously keeps in chronological order. But now she found out that there are some fiction stories within that as well, these have now been separated into a new collection. The durable nature of these books imply that they will have a place in our family for years to came, as already her younger brother has started to read the easier ones. Can praise the series and topics enough. Recommended.

Un livre joliment illustre
Enfin un livre sur les Mousquetaires qui est joliment illustre en plus d'etre bien traduit. Dommage qu'une version francaise equivalente n'existe pas.

Perfect for an 8 year old!
I got this for my 8 year old brother who is a good reader but can never sit still long enough to read a book! The difficulty was pitched well for his age and it wasn't too long so he was able to read it quickly whilst his interest held. Great little book if your trying to ease your child into literature!
