Did the trick.

I used this along with a pin spot light. Do not expect much reflection from the color LED's that are on this unit. You might see the reflection just above the mirrored ball, but that's it and they are faint. It also has a brace that folds out to hang on a hook. When you do this, it hangs crooked. Doesn't change the effect any. Just looks odd and unprofessional in my opinion. I sometimes use this outside (garage) and have noticed that cold weather drains the batteries so if you do the same, don't permanently mount because you'll want to keep this inside so the batteries don't drain. I had installed new batteries and overnight we had a cold snap and I had to switch out the batteries again to make it work. Other than that I've noticed the batteries to last quite a long time. I'm sure most will use this indoors anyway, I just thought this to be an interesting point.

Despite this being referred to as a mirror ball, it's not a mirror ball. It's just the motor for a mirror ball. Good quality for what it is. Unfortunately it isn't what was described.

Seemed cheap but worked just fine with my 30lkb disco ball.

Unable to get any product support. If you try to call the manufacturer using the number on their site it goes to an Auto Attendant. Batteries don't seem to fit. I am sure this is probably me making a mistake, but I am not able to get it to power up.

I purchased this for my wife's birthday. Although she is currently a "mature" woman, 40 years ago she was the Queen of the Discos. Since it is battery powered rather than a plug-in, it is extremely easy to set up. It turns a 12 inch disco ball at an appropriate speed and the colored lights are a great bonus feature. For just our living room, these lights produced a great effect and a pin spot really wasn't needed. Now where's that ABBA record?

Don't buy! The chain broke on our first use. The mirror ball fell in and was destroyed. Luckily no one was underneath.

Kids are so happy with this. The motor is good and slow, the batteries lasted a whole 3 hour party with no issue and it is still going. The LEDs add a really nice color to the disco ball reflections, but you still should use spots to augment this. Placement was flexible and easy and the price is right.
