Q: Can you make it tight enough to go around the thigh?

Yes, but then you will have dangling straps. The straps tighten by going through a clip and then there is hang over.

Q: Could i wear this belt under a dress? i am speaking at an event and want to wear a dress with no waistband or pockets...

It depends on how fitted the dress is. I think that dress would have to be really loose otherwise the pocket that holds the transmitter would show a bulge as well as possibly the buckle. I use this to teach group fitness classes where I am moving around and jumping on my feet, but I wear it over my workout clothes.

Q: Will this carrier belt hold my duafire microphone? i am yoga teacher, can you tell me if it will stay put and not fall out? thank you!

I have no idea since I don't know what a duafire microphone is.

Hello, thanks for reaching out. We recommend hand washing in a mild detergent and air drying out of direct sunlight. However, we have had customers report that they have washed them in lingerie bag and on a gentle cycle. As with any fitness or exercise accessory, the longevity of the item can be affected by many factors, washing and drying being one, frequency of use and the equipment weight and size in the pocket.
