I love a good loofah in the shower, but until these babies came into my life, I had been using the plastic-netted ones. I did a little searching and decided to try some out that could be a bit more eco-conscious, and also reasonably priced. In the past, I associated natural loofahs being hard and mostly for your feet. I didn’t even know you could get large ones like this to replace the plastic ones for all-over-scrubbing.I was not disappointed. The loofah’s showed up as expected - dehydrated and on the small-side. But as soon as I soaked it in some warm water, it fluffed right up to be even bigger than the traditional plastic shower-puff.The texture is soft, yet stretchy and strong. When it’s wet, it’s a bit soft, yet thick enough to hold structure in your hand. It’s super similar to the texture of the plastic ones in terms of scrub, yet it has a similar texture to a sponge and is great for head-to-toe lather and exfoliation. It can absorb quite a bit of water and I like that it has a strong attachment for hanging. To try and prevent any unwanted bacteria on my loofah, I try to squeeze (not wringing) any excess water after rinsing and hang it up. It shrinks a little bit as it dries but doesn’t get nearly as small as it’s shipped form.I like to use it with body wash and because it’s quite porous, it doesn’t work up a massive lather. This doesn’t bother me (it’s also pretty easy to rinse clean) but I do feel like it soaks up a bit of product.I use mine nearly daily, and after a month, it still hasn’t showed any signs of deterioration. I like the three-pack for a longer term investment. Each loofah is a different shape, as this is a natural plant material. I didn’t see any seeds or bugs in mine.At the cost of around $6.50 a sponge, they are only a few more dollars compared to a “decent” plastic loofah (ie: from Shoppers Drug Mart or Wal-mart, not the dollar store). I also estimate that due to the sheer size and thickness of the loofah, it will last for quite a long time if taken care of. Great value and friendly on the landfill - I think if you use natural cleansers (oops, I don’t 🥴) you can compost them but even in the garbage, I think this would definitely break-down (whereas, plastic ones, not so much).Great value, natural product and super fluffy and thick. Must-try!

One of the reasons I purchased these was for eco-friendly Christmas gifts for family. I really like the loofa itself, however it would be ideal if it were packed in less plastic packaging because it defeats the purpose of purchasing an eco-friendly product. Overall the loofa is great. It is shipped flat, but if you follow the instructions on how to re-form its shape, it looks and works just fine.

Per instructions, I put one of these in water to regain its shape - and was very grossed out to find two dead bugs stuck inside the loofah. It also had a horrible smell. Just submitted a return for this product although I’m relatively certain amazon doesn’t want these back. Would recommend not purchasing these.

I expected a thick loofa. This came in a pack of 3 and each one was flat like paper. At first I was confused as to what the heck it even was and then I got frustrated, thinking that it was a proverbial lemon. Well, when you put it under water, it expands it's great! I love how it exfoliates and it's still pretty long for me to do my back. When it expands, it's bigger than your palm. The reason why I took away 2 stars is because it has a funny smell to it - it kind of reminds me of straw/hay..? It's also not the thick consistency of loofa I expected, but 3 for this price is worth it, in my opinon.

I really liked the sponges, I also gave one to my roommate who also liked it. It was pretty scratchy at first but it broke it well and it very comfortable now. It helps pull out in growns and ward off other little bumps. The GF said it was pretty uncomfortable down south, but said it was much better after it broke in also. I would get this again and recommend it to people
