I developed receding gums while in the military ('78-'82) because I couldn't brush my teeth except at bedtime. When I got out of the service I resumed brushing after breakfast and dinner, and visited a dentist every 6 months for cleanings. The regular dental visits continued for many years, but I eventually developed pockets as-deep-as 6 mm at several locations. Also, my #8 Central Incisor started the resorption process (note: a root canal was done at age 17 on the central incisors due to an accident that displaced both teeth) and the dentist told me that the tooth could break off at any time (that was in 2010). The dentist insisted that the only way to treat my condition was with deep root planing, which cost me $1,350 initially for 4 quadrants, and they wanted me to have the maintenance done every 3 months (forever?)! I couldn't afford this--no dental insurance--nor did I think that it was really necessary to perform this procedure so often, ad infinitum, so I went for 8 years without seeing a dentist. I started using toothpaste that had an additive for sensitivity, and this helped me with tolerating sweets and cold beverages, but I still had occasional discomfort, and an unpleasant taste in the saliva near my #8 tooth; my wife also told me at times that I had bad breath. I surmised that I need to try something different--other than root planing--and so I researched the internet and came across people that had similar problems and found that using an essential oil or blend of oils could not only topically relieve gum/tooth discomfort and pain, but could also improve gum health so that the gum tissue would reattach to the tooth structure, thereby reducing/eliminating deep pockets. In February 2018 I ordered directly from OraWellness their Healthy Mouth System and began to use it with the Pocket Applicator (i.e. syringe) to apply the OraWellness NUT FREE HealThy Mouth Blend Tooth Oil directly along the gumline, and into the deep pockets on the front and rear of both central incisors--I perform this procedure after having brushed and having used a water pick--and keep the oil in my mouth for about 20 minutes until my saliva has increased and diluted the oil. After the first several bottles of the NUT FREE oil (each bottle lasts me about 1 month with my routine) were used I noticed that my gums were feeling better for longer periods of time, but I still had the taste in my saliva, although less so, emanating from the #8 tooth, mostly after meals. I researched the internet some more and found that Oil of Oregano is very effective against microorganisms that may be causing the bad taste/breath. I decided to add Oregano Oil to the OraWellness Bottle--based upon testimonials from users--and so in each new bottle I add 10 drops of Zane Hellas Wild Pure Greek Essential Oil of Oregano. Adding the Oil of Oregano makes the oil mixture quite strong--and can cause a burning feeling on your lips if you get some on there--but I find it does not irritate my mouth when I apply a small amount along my gumline near the wisdom teeth and in the pockets adjacent to the central incisors. I had the misfortune recently of having to get a root canal on my #3 molar which had developed a cracked crown and and underlying abscess which became very painful; the dentist that I saw did a check of all my teeth and told me that except for the #3 molar with a cracked crown and abscess, I had a healthy mouth! I will continue to use my mixture of OraWellness NUT FREE HealThy Mouth Blend Tooth Oil with added Oil of Oregano forever, as I feel it has improved my gum health and eliminated the bad breath that my wife said I used to have.

Excellent tooth cleaning, gum healing product. Leaves beautiful fresh taste in my mouth and fresh breath. I use in combination with a whitening, sensitivity toothpaste every time I brush. EXCELLENT PRODUCT!

I love this. It seems expensive but only a few drops are needed at a time, so it lasts a long time. It is not the best tasting, but who cares? Neither is Listerine. I use this on toothbrushes and mix it in water to swish. It keeps my mouth clean, and when my mouth is cleaned of bad germs my toothache is kept at bay. I alternate this with Closys, which also kills bad mouth germs. When I use this regimen, avoid sugar, and swish hard after eating, I keep my mouth pain free. My understanding of this product is that it only kills the bad germs in the mouth but not the good ones. Science is learning how important that is. The mouth has a microbiome like the gut, and the good germs in the mouth help prevent tooth decay, while the bad germs cause it when they eat the food that you eat.

I wanted to try this product out for at least one week to ensure my review would be as accurate as possible. When I ordered this I was having severe toothaches and needed something to help ASAP without pumping myself with otc pills. This product literally helped over night my overall oral health is on the uphill using this. I brush with mines and rub couple drops on my gum line every morning. It’s been great I will DEFINITELY subscribe to ensure that I continue Using this product and never run out!
