El Pinto Medium Roasted Green Chile Chopped (4 Ounce, 6 Pack)

I grew up in Colorado, eating Green Chili, a wonder regional delicacy, known mostly only to Colorado and New Mexico. The recipe includes roasted green chilis but if they aren't authentic ones; grown in the New Mexico Hach Valley, it just isn't quite the same. I've been in New England for over a decade and have had to make do with roasting whatever I can find (Poblanos, Jalapenos, Anaheim), sometime using canned Old El Paso roasted chilis, but I felt that something wasn't just right. On a recent trip to Colorado, and a stop at one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, I decided to dig deeper, to see if I could find the real deal. That's when I found these gems on Amazon! Slightly smoky, authentically and uniquely delicious, Hach valley, freshly roasted green chilis! Also, not a bad price, considering how much you get! They are fresh roasted, not canned, but sealed in individual plastic containers with an expiration date. They have minimal additives (for longevity, and I can't taste them) and are the closest that I've come to getting the real thing, fresh out of a roaster, spinning over an open flame in North Denver. If you're like me, stuck in New England, far away from REAL Mexican food, you owe it to yourself to by them. You won't be disappointed. Also, really wonderful addition to your home made salsa recipe, or great for Instant Pot carnitas too. Hit me up, if you need a wonderful Green Chili recipe.

Im so happy with my purchase and i grew up in new Mexico so im use to really good green chili and i know the good stuff..This green chili is top of the line yet not too hot its perfect for omelettes or green chili stew ot enchiladas very good..i give it 5 stars

Great tasting Hatch green chile. Very authentic taste of the fire roasted green chlie I loved when I lived in NM. And the medium has just the right amount of heat. The 4 oz containers are just the right amount for a single serving so no waste and very convenient to keep in your lunch box or desk drawer. I always get a 12 pack to keep some around when I need it. Love this stuff!

If bought in store they have a plastic lid to reseal. This set was aluminum foil cover - so set up for one time use unable to reseal. - Not a deal breaker just annoying. Not the packaging that is shown on the website.

These are great. Conveniently sized, delicious flavor, good heat. This is by far the best green chile itch scratcher I’ve found outside of the southwest. I’m based in the Northeast, and these help me get a little taste of home. Thanks, El Pinto! I miss your patio. ❤️

I grew up in Santa Fe, when to UNM, got married in Santa Fe, and hope to retire in the next few years in Santa Fe. But for now, I am working in Uganda. It’s far from home and family, but when I want a pick-me-up, I make something with green chile. It’s such a blessing to have them delivered to me here! And I love El Pinto restaurant, too (not just their chile!).

Have bought these El Pint Hatch Chiles before. No lids on the little containers to keep fresh. ??

Lived in New Mexico for several years and became addicted to green chile, which is difficult to find in New England, where I live now. It's listed as a medium heat, but I think it's closer to mild. Still fantastic for making enchiladas and breakfast burritos!
