Any plans to ditch the "hanging loop" so as to prevent the possibility of scratches?

Unlike many cheaper wash mitts, our drying loop is made from a nice quality, durable microfiber material that is designed not to scratch. The loop is actually an important product care feature as it enables you to easily hang your mitt to air dry (the recommended method of drying). Without a hanging loop, a user may oftentimes be inclined to set the mitt down on a surface to dry or leave when not in use where the possibility of collecting debris is a much greater risk for causing scratches with future use. If the loop still isn't desired, a user always has the option of removing it - "better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it...". Thanks!

Is this mitt made from 80/20 or 70/30 grade microfiber?

Hi Mitchell, these Microfiber Chenille Mitts are an 80/20 blend. I'm not aware of any Microfiber Chenille used in mitts today that consists of a 70/30 blend as that is typically only used in premium auto detailing towels (the vast majority of microfiber towels from The Rag Company rated for auto detailing are a 70/30 blend). Unfortunately, many inexpensive Chenille mitts from China are a poor quality, non-absorbent 90/10 that we would recommend you definitely avoid. Is the inner liner made of polyester 'batting' fabric which pulls apart from use?

So far after about 1 year of use, my have not separated or deteriorated at all. Not sure what you mean by the batting fabric though.

after how many uses do you wash the MIT?

You should always wash the mitt after each use. The crud you get off the car is in the microfiber.
