Does it work with the deal industries inc. 61-534 digital circuit breaker finder with digital receiver and gfci circuit tester?

It's reall just a female plug end with alligator clips to be able to clip to wires on the circuit so I dont see why it wouldn't work with and plug type circuit finder.

The Klein circuit breaker finder shows a three prong plug, this kit has socket adapter that has two hole socket?

The Circuit Breaker Kit 69411 has a screw in adapter for light sockets that is two prong for the transmitter of the Finder ET300. It also has a cord adapter that has two alligator clips on one end for bare wire, and a two prong receptacle on the other end for the Transmitter. The Finder Kit ET300 consists of a two prong Transmitter and the Receiver.

Can the alligator clips be used on insulated wires or do they have to be completely exposed?

You’ll have to have the ends of the wires stripped —- to answer your question, you need ‘exposed wire’. Those alligator clips are not designed to just clip anywhere along an insulated conductor and work. Although, there are other apparatus designed for what it seems like you’re wanting, those kinds are constrained to low voltage scenarios. Things less than 24 volts. Typically inside control cabinets. When dealing with 120v or more, insulating piercing components isn’t a highly used practice.

Does this work on 120 alone or will it also work with 240?

Works on 120v, 277v I locate 277v breakers for lighting circuits in commercial buildings all the time. Been using this with klien circuit tracer for years. Will also locate 208v, 220v and 480v breakers by one lead on one phase then other lead on ground or neutral. Ground works best for me.
