These will be pretty good use when on vacation for my plant sitter

Very easy to use

I bought these for my orchids last year. They were expensive but I wanted to try them. They seem to work well especially for my few paphliopedulums. These are harder to detect moisture in the pots. So for 20 orchids it cost over $100 for the different sizes. Then the biggest problem is you have to replace the inserts every 6-12 months to avoid fungal infections. Replacing the inserts cost $6 to $8. If you can afford and you find it easier to monitor your orchids moisture go for it. I just think the replacements are just too expensive to continue use.

Does not work, once blue shows, never changes. Cheaply made, the blue is just a piece of blue paper that rises and then gets stuck at the top, ruining many plants.

OK, literally none of the pictures I see on this advertisement show what I received. Am I just looking at the small blue window on top to see if that has turned white or am I looking at the entire blue area? I nearly killed a precious peace lily I received when my mom passed waiting for the whole stick to turn white. And what’s the little orange dot about? Very confusing!

unit drys out with in a day.. says water plants again.. iam like really break out high teck says no dont water..got large unit for large pot... hummmmm

like other reviews have said, unfortunately these worked great the first time, but now they won't even dry out at all. they stay blue even tho everything may be dry.... example- I even took a blow dryer to the thing to see if I could manually dry into use on a different plant......nope! just stayed blue....I even disassembled it to try to dry the fabric interior, bit still it stayed blue. so I guess they are single use.
