One problem …
Decided to paint the hood with semi gloss black. Then, clear coat a few times. Buff with compound, polish, and wax. Used boat varnish on the grill flag. The new hood locks to replace the old latches is a pain to install with the grill off. Used a small piece of finishing clay on the tip of a screw driver to connect the bolt of the driver side latch. It’s the most difficult side.Happy with the results. The only issue I had with the full install is the clips. I watched several videos and none said this one trick. The clips on the grill did not slip easily onto the Jeep. BUT the clips on the Jeep worked perfect.I had to remove the clips which was a pain, though once on the Jeep spots the grill easily clicked into place. The clips are like little teeth. Once gripped won’t budge.Due to removing the grill and the black caps I had to use the original caps as the others wouldn’t come out once installed. The original do.I’d recommend keeping your original black cap tabs in case you find yourself in a pickle during install. Or, you can buy a kit with extras.Amazing price. Amazing look. Personalize with or without paint or clear coat.Due to reviews discussing rust elected to treat the metal grill. Plus protect the plastic as I travel often so hoping this upgrade with clear coat will help the new front end last for a while on the road⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯Update /\My Jeep has the locking hood bolt. Until applying the Marin grade varnish to help with rust and add sheen didn’t realize I need to drill a sizable hole to allow me to unlock the hood.Other than this looks amazing.Several YouTube clips give various install tips. It’s a fun way to enjoy Jeep life. Mine is used for work projects and rough doorless German Shepherd adventures. The flag is what sold me. The attitude eyes second. Price, their gotta yes 🙌🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯

Looks great but needs some extra attention
**Update** Not even a year, but post winter...ABORT! ABORT! ABORT!Rusted and now looks like crap.As mentioned first go round, Clear coat it before install and you will be okay. However that being said, should you really need to do work to something you just bought?? Your the judge on that. I wont change my rating as a result but be AWARE IT WILL RUST and Alcohol will remove finish. It was a $100 grille with a cool look so have zero complaints. How it looks in the photos are what I received. This is a bare bones "painted" but not finished grille. I made the mistake of "prepping" the grille for the weather stripping (as you do with any surface when you place a adhesive backed object to another) Well when I rubbed the alcohol wipe on the grille, paint came with it and the little bit that touched the front of the grille left streaks so I need to take it back off and paint it and apply a clear coat. dont make my mistake please. Either finish it with some clearcoat or do not use alcohol to prep for the weather stripping.Shipping was a big old mess but that was hardly xprites problem. It was UPS. So I wont knock them or the product for that ish.I just wish it would have been a little better documented to not prep the surface with alcohol like everything else that uses double sided tape. I mean this could be one of those "caution hot coffee" moments but a little nod to the fact it was going to take paint would have been nice I guess. I really does look awesome and it installed in about 5 minutes. OH! almost forgot. The turn signal lens...They fit fine but there did appear to be a little bit of flashing on the grille that prevented them from seating flush and required a bit more muscle to get the tabs to click in correctly. really the only physical defect I have. The weatherstripping was a bit long but fixed easy enough with scissors. Make sure when you are putting the metal clips on that you get them on juuuuust right since they are kinda meant to go on one time and repositioning them can be a struggle. but all good so far minus few things. solid 4.6 product.

Worth the price....if you modify it
Great value for what it is. I bought this on a whim since it is affordable and am pleased with it. Makes my Jeep less ordinary. I thought of changing the lights to led with a halo but I will wait since this grill makes my Jeep look a bit angry when the lights are on. Tried to install by following the directions- the double adhesive tape pieces were missing so i used some spare i had but found a different way that was easier for me. I first put the two top bolts loosely. I installed the bolts from the bottom as it was easier to tighten the nut from the top. I did it loosely first so I would have room to insert the bottom behind the plastic bumper cover because I could not remove it (should be removed but my bolts were rusted and was not able to). I do not see a difference in MPG or temperature change in the cooling system. I do feel like the acceleration is a little sluggish but it may be my imagination. I will keep an eye on this as it may be the grill blocking fresh air or maybe coincidental and my Jeep needs more TLC.UPDATE. This grill cover DOES block incoming air but it did not trigger any codes or overheated the engine. Using my Sprint drive gadget, i was able to watch the engine’s complaint. The input air sensor was reading that the air coming in was too hot and the oxygen to fuel ratio changed making the engine run a little sluggish. Removed the grill cover and my Jeep was happy again. Will tey again after i remove the “mesh” between the vertical slats and see of the air is cool enough or I might just install a snorkel and solve the problem and look even cooler

You get what you pay for
Took for ever to show up but was packaged very nicely no scratches however on the river side where the turn signal pops in there is a flaw in the machining of this piece and the 1 clip that holds the housing does not catch and had to glue the lense to the grille to get it to stay. Very poor quality and the lines of the teeth look like a 7 year old spray painted it. But for a hundred bucks you cant expect quality. It looks good from about 30 feet or so but definitely would not buy if you were planning on going to shows
