They work great
I’ve trained for 15 years and these are by far the Best foot gear I’ve ever used, they fit perfectly and are super comfortable and do not move around or come off when sparring vary hard and getting kicked in the leg and I’d highly recommend

Sturdy and great, but a little small.
I've long heard of Fairtex, and finally decided to pull the trigger on this pair of shinguards. Solid construction, great protection, and easy to clean. I did notice some of the abrasion that others have mentioned on the instep from the foot and shin pads being separate, but connected via a Velcro tab, but my experience wasn't as bad as they described. A little rosiness, but no blisters or anything. The only caution I can mention is that if your calves are a little thick, you may want to size up. They come a little smaller. I had to return the Mediums, measured according to the chart, and size up to a Large, which fit great. This is why I gave it 4 Stars instead of 5. There's not much difference between M and L as far as shin guard length, but the main difference is the straps and foot guard sizes.Speaking of the length of shin guards, I really like how they're low enough to accommodate knee pads comfortably.

Not a Review
Only worn once, so not able to provide a review yet.All of the photos made these look closer to a Royal blue, but they’re definitely more of a navy blue. It wasn’t clear if they’d match the blue BGV14 gloves, so I went with the grey.Initial impressions: they’re easy to put on and feel fairly secure, but felt like they moved a bit in class. They’re my first and only shin guards, so this may be common. Especially on smaller calves. They also wore down some skin just above the ankle.I bought these because they leave room for knee pads, half the people in class have the SP5s, and because I just think they look nicer.

Trial and error
I’m 5’4 245 lbs and I have huge thighs and calves. I tried other shin guards like the other fairtex ones and I tried a venum kind and no straps would wrap around my calf correctly. Or they’d come apart when I’d kick. These are perfect i got a XL and they stay in place, they’re comfortable and I have more strap length to work with if I ever needed to. Fits perfectly for bigger legged people.
