Good, not like the original, but very salty. I put a small potato in to soak up the salt.

I love all Mrs. Grass soup mixes. I make a big pot and freeze containers for my sons lunch. We bought the Thermos also from Amazon! Keeps soup hot until lunch time!

Wow, this soup mix is great. I would not consider this a soup on its own, but the herbs, spices and noodles in it are wonderful as a base. If you grew up in the 70's or 80's, you might be familiar with "Soup Starter" soup mix. It was packaged in a tall metal can (like a smaller Pringles container). Just add it to 8 cups of water, throw in extra noodles, more veggies and chicken and voila - you have a pot of homemade soup that would rival Grandma's. And what a time saver for busy parents.Through transfers of ownership and re-branding, the soup disappeared for what seemed like years. Back in the day, my mother made this all winter long, served it up with fresh bread and made a meal out of it. Anyway, the flavor is excellent and completely worth a try. My finicky teenagers cannot get enough of it, so that must be saying something! I use it as a soup base, replace 2 of the 8 cups of water with chicken stock, add 4 cups of cooked chicken, 2 cans of sweet corn (with water) and a little cream and it is the best chicken corn chowder you ever tasted. One package makes a half gallon of soup. Now that it is becoming popular again, it is popping up in grocery stores and big box stores at $3.65 per package, so you might want to look around. Mrs. Grass has mix in many other flavors too - I use the beef soup mix in the crockpot with pot roast and I must say, it is wonderful. Hope this review helped. Enjoy!

This is the best for making homemade soup. I’ve tried others. It’s very hard to find in stores now. Had to buy it through Amazon.

The best soup! I've been making it for at least 25 years. It's been difficult finding it, so I paid more than I normally would, but Covid caused a lot of products to become scarce. Hopefully, next year will be better. I add extra celery, carrots, noodles and chicken broth along with fresh mushrooms. Add a fresh fruit bowl and crusty roll and you have a fast, easy, dinner.

This is my favorite soup starter. I used to buy in the local market but cannot find any in the 4 around me anymore. So glad I found on Amazon. I add fresh chicken and more carrots and cook in the crockpot.
