Q: Are these thick enough to wipe/blow nose, or catch a sneeze?

Great size. Bigger than most women’s handkerchief.

Q: Has anyone used these to mop up sweat? Are they absorbent?

I think these handkerchiefs are reasonably absorbent. Although I have not tried them out in a major sweat event, they have done the job for me on sweaty days!! They are so much better than the wad of tissues that I formerly used. A plus is that they are attractive and easy to find in my purse.

I find no label & I don't have the original packaging, but they are very nice, a larger size than "ladies hankies" & of subtle color, so much better than men's handkerchiefs for your hike or whatever.

Cotton maybe, it’s a regular handkerchief just like your grandparents had and used.....? I hope this helps you I had them embroidered in there beautiful. Great gift!
