They aren't foolproof, but they work very well if you've got the right ones
I have to start with a negative that will hopefully be fixed by the time you read this: Amazon mislabeled a batch of Skin Grip Libre 2 patches with holes in them for this product, which shouldn't have one. As these were listed as sold by Skin Grip, I contacted the company. Heidi was quite helpful and made sure I won't run out of patches while this gets sorted out. Check your label when you get them, since Skin Grip products all come in the same mylar envelopes. The first question you should ask about a skin patch for your glucose sensor is how do they hold? That depends on your skin type. I'm new to this, but I've come to these adhesives are always a balance between how well does it stay on your skin versus how hard is it to get off of you in two weeks' time. And we're pretty sure that when it comes to my skin, no single product on the market is going to get that balance right. No, not even KT tape. So I've gotta use these patches with Skin Tac, and the combination does work. That said, many of my new CGM buddies use these patches and find they work well for two weeks on their own.Where Skin Grip really beats the competition is in how you put it on, and how flexible it is once applied. The patch has a coated backing paper like any bandaid, but it's cut into five pieces: A circle in the center and four quadrants around the sides. Stretch the patch at the seams of the backing to split them and you can start pull tabs and remove the middle circle. There's a light adhesive under the middle circle which makes it easy to place the patch on your sensor and then peel the rest of the backing away one piece at a time to get the patch down nice and flat. A flat patch that stretches with your skin is the secret to having the patch hold up and remain comfortable for two weeks. It's very easy to wear.If your skin is like mine the application process is a bit more complex—Tom from the YouTube channel TypeOneTalks describes the process: Choose a location on the back (not outside) of your arm, wash the area with a non-oily soap, wipe with alcohol wipe, wipe the area with Skin Tac (I wear a nitrile glove for this because I do NOT want glue on my fingers for the next parts…) Apply the sensor, then the patch as above, then use the other alcohol swab around the outside of the patch (but not touching it) to maybe remove a little of the excess Skin Tac. I dunno how well that last step works, the alcohol definitely doesn't get it all, but I do it. If I can avoid gluing my shirt to my arm too completely, I'm calling it a win.To remove, I use a cotton round and a little liquid coconut oil around and over the top of the patch. Go ahead and saturate the patch with the oil. Wait five minutes and the patch peels right off. Doesn't hurt a bit. In my case there's just a tiny bit of oil left behind on my skin but not much. You might need a towel or another alcohol swab or both to get all the oil off of you.If it sounds fussy and fiddly … don't let that scare you. In my case, my skin doesn't hold most tapes or adhesives well at all, and reacts badly to most of those it will hold unless I seriously glue them down the way the Skin Tac does. That's a me problem, not a Skin Grip problem. Once I glue them down to my skin, though, the Skin Grip patches do not feel hot or sweaty or tight, because the patches stretch with my skin. That's why they're simply the best thing I've found.Knowing where to put these things, how to apply them, and how to get them off afterward makes all the difference.

Stays put!
I am new to Freestyle Libre sensors and ended up losing my first 2 devices to faulty dressings. I almost gave up using them, it felt impossible to keep them on. I ordered these skin grips and they are honestly a game changer. It stays put and moves with your body. The skin grip does soak through with water, but dries quickly and doesn’t peel. The edges do fray, but it still feels solid. I’ve had one on for 11 days and it’s still holding strong. I love the pink color, it functions great, and it was easy for me to place by myself. Will be ordering these again.

Last almost 14 Days
They work great for about 7-8 days then start to peel. I cut off the peeling part and wore it about 4 more days then started to peel some more. Cut that part off and it lasted the whole 14 days. It does do its job and keep the sensor on, I’m also probably harder on it with my job than some others will be, so it may stay on longer for you without starting to peel.

Better adhesive and oval rather than round!!
I've been using the Skin Grip for Libre 2 for a couple years. I decided to order a pack of these branded patches that look like patterns until you look closely. They are a huge improvement from the assortment of different colors. There are two enhancements that are a huge improvements. The first is they are larger and oval shaped rather than round, and the second is the adhesive is stronger and longer lasting. What a huge improvement that I happened to discover.

Worth the extra money
Third cover I’ve tried the easiest one to put on and most of the adhesive comes off when you take it off instead of staying with you worth the extra money

Closer to 3.5 stars
These work with many caveats. You need to place them correctly, which can be difficult to do. The sensor needs to be at the back of the arm, which is not ideal placement to then have to put this on. There are 5 peel away tabs, one center and 4 outer ring tabs. Using a mirror and a lot of body maneuvering you can get it centered and half the patch stuck on but then to get the other tabs off you have to partially peel the patch off to do so, which then can cause an adhesion issue later on. I also have nerve issues so feeling the tabs is difficult for me because they are so smooth and flexible but that's more of a me problem, not the product, but if someone else is dealing with a similar issue I have found these patches are harder to feel the tab on than others.I do like that the patch is a band aid type material that is breathable but since it is fabric-like it stays damp out of the shower even after toweling off. I think it holding on to moisture like this plus the aforementioned need to partially peel it back to get tabs off when applying, can also cause the adhesive to wear off sooner. I find the edges begin to peel back and I go trimming as needed to keep from having it flap over or stick out. They tend to last for me about a week, although I just had to replace a patch that was on for only 5 days.If you do change the patch halfway through the sensor cycle when it is time to change because your 14 days on the sensor are up, you also may have an issue with it still being very stuck on, and it will then hurt to remove but you can't keep it on because your sensor is expired. In these cases I've had the adhesive stuck to my skin and it is difficult to remove. Also when trying to replace these, since the patch sticks to the sensor, you have to be careful you don't accidentally take off your sensor in the changing process. Wouldn't be an issue if the patch stuck the way they say it should.I will use the rest of the patches that I have but will probably not repurchase. They are a bit expensive to not stick the way that they should.
