Great at keeping drinks icy cold
I was looking for a double-walled insulated water bottle to keep my ice cold drink icy cold the whole day and went with this (Contigo Matterhorn bottle. stainless steel with Monaco accent) based on its high review rating. My other requirement was that it should hold more than 16 fl oz but nowhere near 32 oz (too heavy). I was not disappointed. This bottle is advertised as being able to keep drinks cold for up to 24 h. It kept my drink icy cold for more than 24 h!First, I filled this bottle with ice, then poured in cold water to the top. I then sealed the bottle and kept it at room temp on the kitchen counter. After 21 h, the water was icy cold with some ice left. After 32 h, the water was still icy cold but there was no ice left. The bonus is that this bottle does not sweat - no condensation on the outside of the bottle that gets everything in contact with it (items in your bag) wet. I like that the outside is plain stainless steel - no color coating on the exterior which scratches/chips away after awhile.Be careful from whom you purchase this though. This was my second purchase (from Amazon as seller) and had no problem with the purchase. My first purchase was from Me2You Online and had to return it (inconvenient, time consuming to return and repurchase). The first purchase was most annoying. The bottle sent was green with scratches (main reason why not to get color-coated stainless steel bottle). The seller stuck their own sticker/bar code on the original product UPC barcode (original sticker also contains the title/color of the item). The seller's added-on sticker identified the bottle as "stainless steel with Monaco accent" when it clearly wasn't. Honest mistake? Doubt it. Green isn't even one of the colors currently available for this Contigo water bottle. It seems to me it was a very old, damaged (scratches) stock that the seller wanted to get rid of. They covered the original product sticker to pass off their old stock item on customers.

Durable and Leak-Proof
I’ve been using it, and it’s quickly become my go-to for keeping drinks cold or hot throughout the day. The insulation is fantastic—my water stays cold for up to 24 hours, even on hot days, and it keeps coffee or tea hot for several hours too. It’s perfect for both summer and winter! One of the best features is the leak-proof lid. I’ve thrown this bottle into my bag countless times, and I’ve never had to worry about it leaking. The design is sleek and durable, with the stainless steel body holding up well against everyday wear and tear. It’s also easy to clean, which is a big plus for me.

No more lost lids!! Keeps the drink cold, easy to load with ice and easy to clean - we wish it came in a bigger size
Thank goodness for Contigo. There must be some soccer moms/dads who work there? My family loves their no-spill coffee travel mugs (after two years of hard use they are still working perfectly), so I was thrilled to discover that they make this insulated bottle with an attached lid. We play a lot of sports at our house, and I was SO tired of racing out the door to a kids' game and not being able to find the right lid to the right bottle. Argh!! I bought these Matterhorn bottles and threw the cheap plastic ones OUT! Hooray! Alos, many other companies with the nicer insulated bottles have these clear "o" rings of silicon around the cap, and gunk can get stuck under there (sticky residue from sports drink mix, for example) so I always take the rings off when I wash them, and those darn things are clear and thin, and can get lost, and then your bottle won't seal. Once again, Contigo's design solves this problem, with a lid that seals with no "o" rings to clean and lose, and fewer areas for gunk to build up - I can't thank them enough. The diameter of the bottle opening at the top is just the right size for everyone in our family to drink from it comfortably, while the white part of the bottle unscrews so you can fit ice cubes (and a big cleaning brush) down into the bottle, and you can get it CLEAN before screwing it back on. In theory this white piece can also be lost, but so far it is big enough that it has not disappeared at our house (at least - not yet). This is a great product - I only wish I didn't need to pack two of them in their soccer bags. With ice in them, they don't hold an entire game's worth of water in the heat. How about a bigger size, folks?

Keeps Water Very Cold for Many Hours
I wanted a water bottle that was only stainless steel so that it could go in the dishwasher. I have some lovely bottles that also work well, but the paint, of course, chips off if they go in the dishwasher. This water bottle keeps my water cold, with no ice added, for 12 hours or more. I always fill it up before going to bed and drink it throughout the night, and typically into the next morning.Additionally, I wanted an attached lid, and this one is perfect. The silicone strap is long enough to move the lid out of the way for drinking, but short enough that the lid doesn't fall through the tines on the dishwasher rack. The one thing that I do not care for at all, hence the four-star rating, is the plastic piece that goes between the lid and the bottle itself. The product description notes that the opening between the bottle and the "mouthpiece" is for the easy addition of ice. However, I do not care for drinking from plastic at all, and prefer to take the that piece off. I wish the lid screwed directly into the bottle without that piece, but it does not fit. It takes a slight fenagling to unscrew the whole thing, especially if I'm doing it one-handed as when driving. It's a small inconvenience, though, and definitely doesn't keep this from being my favorite water bottle.
