It works Great!
I have foot drop that's been a pain in my behind for the past six years, I was finally diagnosed with MS last year and ended up getting a AFO that runs up to my calf, it's helpful but not flexible at all as it's made with carbon fiber, anyway this new device has been a God send, it works brilliantly and allows my lower leg room to breath, if you suffer from foot drop, this is MUST HAVE!! ✌🏾

Quite useful but no magic wand
I have MS and have been using the Ossur brace for 3 months now on my weak leg. It works quite well for me with regular sneakers. It works less well with dress shoes (the laces don't go far enough down the foot, so the strap isn't sufficiently stretched to work well). It also doesn't work at all with most hiking footwear - if the tongue is connected on the side, then the inlay doesn't fit. Also, on a hot day, the inlay plastic softens, and the inlay can pull out. For me, its not at all comfortable without a sock, and I have deep welts on my ankle by the end of the day if I go sockless. Particularly not good if you have circulatory problems. The price is good if you compare it to the 4 figure cost of a custom brace.

Makes a Huge Difference
My husband has a lower leg degenerative nerve disorder resulting in foot drop, this leads to balance problemsHis mom has the same problem and recommended this product to him. What A Great Product, makes a huge difference. What he likes is that it doesn't go inside his shoe, like some other products, it wraps around his ankle and uses the shoe and ankle to pull the toes/foot up. Also at work it is not really visible under his pants. When he is wearing shorts most people ask him if they are ankle weights. The longer he has worn them. the less self conscious he has become and now he is happy to tell people about it, especially other people who have foot drop.He has been using them for about 4 years, We have bought Replacement inserts a couple times, and because the Velcro can get worn, the ankle wrap does need replacement about every 2 years.

A solid supportive brace
I bought this brace for my husband and it was helpful during the most severe period of his drop foot and adequately helped keep his toes up. I should have ordered the Large as the X-Large is almost too big and he's 6'3". Also, he wears skate shoes because the softness of the sole is quieter when walking that a hard bottomed show. This creates a problem in which the brace pulls his toes towards the center of the shoe resulting in his big and second toes rubbing against each other. Other than those issues, he's very satisfied and after two months the brace is holding up well.
