Probably. You would put it in ths bin with your keys and change.

How do you attach the hard plastic card holder to this lanyard? I don't see any place to attach.

You just attach it to the plastic clip. The clip is extremely strong and flexible. When I was working the warehouse, I had about 8 "badges" and a couple objects hanging from it under pretty rigorous conditions, with no issues. (Ie: the fastening is super-strong)
