I bought it to keep me off my feet when working in my kitchen. It adjusts so that I can work at counter height while sat down.

More grey than beige, very sturdy and took a few adjustments to get right height as seat depresses slightly when sitting.Does move back a bit when sitting so unable to sit straight down, just slowly on it.Biggest grumble is shape of foam doesn't quiet match stitching on cover so seams are obviously out of line
