These sound great but you need to feed them a lot of juice. Think 100 watts rms each minimum. Otherwise the other reviewers seem to say they sound tinny which I can imagine is correct if they aren’t powered properly. Tight cone needs power

I bought these speakers to replace the blown ones in my Honda Civic hatchback 8th gen. I am still not sure how good the sound of these speakers actually is. Because a car is not an ideal environment, you have to do a ton of insulation to get decent sound. And I haven't bothered with this (also, Hondas don't have any insulation to begin with). So when I turn the volume way up and I play a bass-heavy song, I do hear a lot of vibration and rattle. But, again, this is not the speakers' fault. I have checked the sound of these speakers before I have put them into the doors, and haven't noticed anything wrong with it. Overall, I think this is an excellent pair of speakers made with good materials for such a price (my "audiophile-on-a-budget" headphones costed more than these). A couple of notes: * I need to turn up volume more now to have the same loudness as before. I haven't bothered with an amplifier, and am running them off the aftermarket stereo (4x50W). So if you want to get even more sound out of these speakers, get an amp. * If you are buying these for a similar Honda, they do fit nicely into an adapter like "ACV 271130-04". Just be sure you have the mounting nut in place (I had to order mine, part number 90309SLJ003). Also definitely apply some insulation between the door and adapter.
