Favorite pomade
The smell alone is worth purchasing this. I really liked this product, great smell, pretty good hold, and washes out easy enough.

Excellent quality, scent, and very effective!
I love it when taking a chance with a new hair product works out! It's euphoric as soon as you open the jar and take a whiff! The natural aromas of tobacco, cedarwood, and juniper berries really come through and are lovely! It's a mix of quality natural ingredients that condition whatever it touches and has a good hold on your hair without making it rigid. Use by itself to style dry or wet hair for a slick sheen, with a blow dryer for more of a matted finish, or a combination of both. When I'm done styling my clean hair, I don't wash it off my hands but rub it all over them because the natural oils and wax are perfect for moisturizing skin protection too. My only pseudo complaint is that it will be very costly to use this product over time since I will blow through and need to replace a 4 oz. jar regularly enough to add up to a good chunk of change, however many other pomade products are comparable in price but only offer 2 oz. jars, so JS is still a better buy across the board.

Smells AMAZING and works very well
This stuff smells SO GOOD, holds well, doesn’t leave a greasy or sticky residue and has healthy ingredients so I don’t worry about using this in my 4 year olds hair

No longer on the Johnny slicks train
I originally was fully on board with Johnny slicks, i used the shampoo, conditioner, and all the styling products for months and thought all was well until i went to a salon for a haircut and the stylist informed me of extreme buildup of product in my scalp and hair. The water based pomade isn't water based at all, as water based means water is the base ingredient and water isn't even on the label, and it isn't water soluble at all, every one of their products cause buildup which actually leads to more hair loss as the wax stops new hair from growing properly on the scalp from clogging the pores. The shampoo and conditioner doesn't properly clean the hair and scalp at all which exasperates the issue of the product building up while you use the styling products. It was a horrible, humiliating, and scary experience of how much buildup the products caused, the salon had to wash my hair with a clarifying and a detox shampoo three times and cut my hair way shorter than i wanted since my hair was so compromised. i spent thousands on Johnny slicks and i felt almost betrayed and wish i could get my money back. The whole organic thing is over hyped and just a marketing strategy to charge more for products and get people to spend money, hair loss is caused from hormones, stress, and genetics, there's no scientific evidence that hair styling products cause hair loss, even though the owner Johnny likes to push the idea that they can even though there's no scientific evidence to back that up. Ironically I actually lost way more hair while using johnny slicks than i ever have before, and thought something might be wrong with me, but no it was absolutely the products building up in my hair. After my experience at the hair salon, I'll never use Johnny slicks again, and would never advise anybody to use them.

Great Pomade.
Awesome product. I love the smell of the rugged but the original is great too. It lasts all day and washes out easily. It leaves my hair feeling moisturized and can be used as a skin balm as well. A little goes a long way so I don’t find myself buying it as much as the water based stuff.
