Use this for drinks at my Halloween party

Pearl Dust is used to create a soft finishing color on (sweet) baked goods; sugar cookies or pie crust, for examples. The 'dust' is extremely fine and can't even be described as flakes or granules because it's a powder. It comes in several other colors as well.Simply dip your brush (an inexpensive set of children's watercolor brushes works just fine) into a small amount of the dust and light paint it onto your finished baked goods. The effect you'll get is a gently shimmering one with a hint of the stronger color seen in the vial.Variations:* When making cookies, I find that the shortening provides a surface with enough fat to hold onto the powder.* I also used this in another way. I took fresh edible flowers and lightly brushed every single petal (both fronts and backs) with a mixture of beaten egg white and water. I coated them with granulated sugar and allowed them to dry. Using Wilton's Orchid Pearl Dust for the roses, I heavily stroked on the color towards the center of the flowers and used much less on the larger, outer petals. It made the roses look even better. They were placed with edible, fresh mint leaves (similarly prepared) on cupcakes. It made a spectacular presentation.* You can create other color effects by layering the dust colors. Just think of the color wheel and the varieties are endless. For example, by layering blue and orchid dusts in different quantities, you have anything from a pale lavender to violet to fuschia.* A light coating of the silver or gold dusts over your colored dusts yields a jeweled look.Wilton's products are consistently good. The results never vary and are reliable. I would not hesitate to buy them.

Okay I may as well go ahead and tell ya... I'm a total lover of anything shiny that's for certain! Historically I purchased clears, whites, golds, and silver lustre dusts because I liked their effect.But when this product came in the mail I was a little taken-a-back by the lightness of the product (it appears more or less like a carnation or baby girl pink rather than the hot pink showing in the phots.But despite that, I found many uses for the pearl dust - it adds a touch of color to certain aspacts of the cake that you don't quite see with the whites, gold, and silfers...

I bought this to put onto chocolate hearts to make them appear glittery. I was throwing my daughter a Doc McStuffins birthday party and I wanted to achieve this effect. I followed the directions using some vanilla, not a good idea. It just got all over the place. I've heard to use vodka, but considering these were for children, I skipped on that idea! I just put the powder straight on and it seemed to cover and work better. Not sure how this would work on other candies or baked stuff, but for chocolate, it wasn't that great.

Wishing that the cap has a filtered lid so I didn't have to slowly shake and be super cautious when sprinkling this over cupcakes. It really it very pretty though and the pictures I have added do not do it justice. A little goes A LONG way!

I used this as a drink mix-in, where it floats and does not melt in liquid (now hot liquid). I did not notice any discernible taste. It does add shimmer; I found the shimmer to be subtle.

Bought it for royal icing on cookies. I am not sure if I did something wrong but I did not get the results I expected. I am not sure I would ever buy it again. I am NOT an expert on sugar cookies so someone with more experience may get better results.

I thought it was good. It was exactly as listed. I just didn't realize how tiny the bottle was. I guess you only are supposed to use tiny amounts anyway so you don't need a lot anyway.
